The business has responded Please see below:We received a toro mower for repair from *** *** on 07/**/2015.this mower was originally purchased from *** ***when I am not sure so we know no history of this mower.the customer dropped off the mower and said it would not start and
should be covered under warranty because it was only one year old.I told him we would look at it and see what was wrong and if it would be covered.our technician looked at the mower and found someone hit something with the mower causing the blade to get bent and sheer off the flywheel key.which is whats supposed to happen when the mower comes to an abrubt stop.This issue is never covered under warranty and is considered owners responsability.our technician did go ahead and fix the mower before telling me or calling the customer,which we should have done.when ** *** came to pick up his mower I told him what we found and told him the amount for the repair.he was not happy about it not being covered under warranty w hich I explained to him is never covered.I apologized for not calling him first and at no time ever said he had to pay for the repair.we could simply put the mower back the way it was and he could take it home.he said he was gonna go home and talk to his wife about it.I said no problem.later that day I got a very heated phone call saying to put the mower back the way it was and he would be in to pick it up at 1pm.which we didwe always save the parts when doing repairs and we put the exact parts back on the mower and restored it to the exact way it was when he dropped it off no more no less.we in no way altered this customers machine and always treated them fairly and respectfully.which I have to say is not the way we were treatedwe were screamed at cursed at over and over other customers in our store were also subjected to the loud profanity.we were also insulted about our business practice which is untrue.this mower was built by toro who also would not repair it under w arranty, and purchased from *** *** who also would do nothing for the customer.the only mistake we made was not contacting the customer first.we have not charged them in any way or altered their mower in any way.based on the way we were treated I would want no future patronage from this customerthank you for looking into this matter
