[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] This response, clearly was not written by Dr A [redacted] , considering how poorly written it was.Not that it matters, but I first called the office right after receiving this invoice for the first time.Immediately, the office manager became very rude and argumentative.. Something I pointed out to her during the conversation.Again, I was not told that Dr A [redacted] was not in the office, until I was brought into the back patient room. I had to take time off from work for this appointment, and then suddenly told the Dr I had the appointment with, was not in the office. It should not be the patient's responsibility to ask if another doctor, other then the one they had an appointment with, is covered under their insurance. I should have been informed that he wasn't at that time. I wasn't. If I had been told, I would have left. I love how you say, "that was something she should have checked out before coming in." Why would I check into whether or not another doctor there, is covered under my insurance, when my appointment was with a doctor that was??Oh! and the invoice I keep getting, is being billed under the doctor who I was supposed to see and IS covered under my insurance. Why is that? I will be pointing this out on my complaint form to the attorney general. My insurance company is providing me with everything I need..Maybe it's time to actually inform Dr A [redacted] what is going on..

I'm responding to the complaint that was received regarding our businessAt the time ofthis incident I was called to cover for a colleague who was diagnosed suddenly with aterminal illnessSeveral Podiatrist in the area were donating time to this colleaguesoffice to help take care of his
patientshad one of my associates in ray office cover the days and limes thk I was not availablein my own office because of The commitment had made to help a fellow colleagueWecall all our patients the day before there appointment to confirm that they would bekeeping there appointment, each and every patient was told that was not in the officeand that I had an associate covering, they all were given the option to keep thereappointment with my associate or reschedule to see me on another daypatients that wecould not contact the day before were told when they arrived for there appointments andwere given the same optionsSome patient's reschedule others did not have a problemwith seeing my associateMrs*** was given this option also and she stated that shewould see my associate that she did not have a problem with itShe at no time asked ifwe knew if he was a provider for her policy.Apparently and unfortunately my associate was considered out of network for herinsurance policy and those sendees were applied to her deductibleAfter we had senther several bills to collect this deductible she contacted our officeAt that time we wereinformed by her that my associate was not a provider on her plan and that is why it wasapplied to her deductibleAgain, in spite of my associate being out of network theservices were covered by her insurance, but went to deductable which we are obligated tocollect.Wc tried to explain to her that we would not have known who were providers for herpolicy, that was something she should have checked out before coming inSheproceeded to raise her voice and use foul language with my staff and hung up.Sincerely
