I purchased carpet from the Brooksville store on Cortez Blvd on 9/18/16' paid in fullWas told it was in stock and would hear later in the week for installationDid not hear anything for weeks, then when I called the sales person, was told it is no longer made, and to come in a choose something elseI went in, and the salesperson had a near identical carpet that the manufacturer representative sent for me to look at, I was told it was in stock and would hear about installation soonA free a week, I called and was told that it was not in production yet, but should be in the next weekOnce again waited, now when I called back the salesperson said he would call the manufacturer and find out what is going on and call me backGuess what, never did, when I called the store, was told the salesperson would be of the rest of the weekI asked to speak to the store manager, was told he was not in, left my contact information and waited for a callAt end of that day, called back and was told that the message was relayed, and did know why the manager, Mike, did not call me, then was told by this person that he would call the manager and have him call meOf course he did not, this other person who was relaying the message did call back and said that this carpet is not scheduled for production until sometime in December, maybe, but that the store manager said to come in and pick out something else and he would give me a great dealcustomer service at this business is terrible, the store manager has no balls enough to call the customer himself, when I called the corporate office, the operator voice mailbox was fullHow can this be such a big company and yet treat the customer so bad.? When I asked for a refund, I was told it could take up to weeks, yet when I paid them, the check was cashed the next day This was only for room of carpet, I had more to do laterGuess who is not going to get any of my business
This is concerning Bob's Carpet Mart on Missouri Ave in Largo, FLTheir customer service, installers, and material are very poor Strips on carpet not placed properly and door stops not replaced after installation Carpeting wearing after years Their laminate is coming up and they refuse to replace it because we used Swiffer Wetjet to clean it We were never told not to use it on the laminate or what we should be using to clean it I feel they are still responsible because we were not informed of how to take care of the laminate Just overall a distrustful company
Thought I was getting a great deal on carpet with a great warranty. To have my sale closed my salesman told me incorrect warranty and basic info. I had a seam issue first. That turned into also having tracks of wear and tear that was explained to not happen with this type of carpet. Once I contacted Daniel at the location he kept putting us off to come look at our issues. After he did come we heard nothing back and even left many messages with no response. Spoke to Travis there several times and left messages for Daniel. Travis even looked up our account and told me our seam issue is a installation issue and would be covered due to being under 2 years. At one point Daniel called us to say he forgot about our issue but will put in the claim. Then yet again we heard nothing and he never returned calls. Contacted corporate as we had been waiting 3 months and sent in pictures and proof of Stanley steemer cleaning and not able to remove issues and she said she would take care of it. 1 1/2 months later a 3rd company not with Bobs carpet or Mohawk (name of carpet brand) came out to do a report. They send it in and now mohawk says they wont pay to fix issues. And Bobs carpet now left me a voicemail saying its normal wear and tear and the seam issue is labelled this way now too so if I want it fixed we have to pay more money. Its been a nonstop issue and we've only had the carpet for less than 2 years.
Two months and my problems have not been resolved. Job is not finished and damages and problems have not been taken care of. I have owned 23 properties and have never worked with a company that was so irresponsible. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
My experience with Bob's Carpet Mart in Clearwater was excellent!! I needed tile for my whole house.The salesman worked within my budget and provided selections for a low, medium and higher quote. He also came up with a few suggestions to keep the price down. There was no pressure at all which I appreciated. I'd like to tell you that the rest of the job went off without a hitch - it didn't. There was a slight mix up when the right tile in the wrong color was delivered. Before I could even get upset, the problem was resolved. A truck from the warehouse promptly delivered the correct tile. The second hitch was working around Christmas holidays for the installation. It took a little longer than expected. The salesman and installer kept me informed throughout the process though with calls/texts so I would know exactly when it would be completed. The finished product was well worth the wait. My installer Dave did a fantastic job. The expert tile cuts around corners and in tight places were impressive. He also handled a few uneven spots without even blinking an eye. I'm sure it's easy to give great customer service when everything is perfect, but I was most impressed how everything was handled in the face of a few challenges. Thanks to Bob's Carpet Mart - great job!!
I would not recommend anyone buy from this company due to cheap products and HORRIBLE customer service. We had a client who wanted to take advantage of a Memorial Day sale which is why we went ahead and bought from Bob's Carpet Mart. We purchased a Mohawk product, thinking it would be good quality. The hardwood laminate flooring was cheap and difficult to work with (we are experienced with laying laminate flooring). The cardboard backing that is supposed to snap together breaks off easily and it just really did not go together well in several places.
Even before that, we had problems with this company as we placed the order on May 18th and I was told it would arrive in 4 - 5 days and we would be contacted yet I had to call the store after June 1st since no one had called. We picked up the order on June 4th. We were told it would be ready to load when we got there but the 2 men who were in the store said their loaders didn't work on Saturday so no one could load it. They were rude to us as well, but managed to get off their duffs long enough to get a lift truck and pick our flooring from the back of the warehouse and load it onto our truck...then they had the audacity to ask us to bring the pallet back.
The really aggravating part though was discovering over this past holiday weekend while finishing up the project that we were given the wrong transition strips. We requested T-molding but received 4 pieces of square nose molding instead which would cause a tripping hazard for our client. We tried using what we had in one place to make it work, but what is typically a metal holding strip with all other transitions was made of plastic which bent easily and didn't hold down the transition piece. Ultimately, we had to go to Lowes and purchase transition strips there to finish the project, figuring we could return the product since it was their mistake. Instead, the store manager informed me that their installers simply cut off the stair nose part and install it all the time. I can just imagine how wonderful and professional that looks! I was also told that it was over 30 days, however today is 7/5 and the product was picked up on June 4th - most companies would cut a customer some slack for that. That was just a line though because the salesperson informed me that the company does not take back special orders. What a rip off to our client!
If you value your time and your money, I would highly recommend going elsewhere to purchase your flooring. This company does not care about your satisfaction and there are many other choices that do! No future customer of ours will EVER shop at Bob's Carpet Mart.
