Richard Boyle Painting

Review: I used Richard Boyle to complete painting on my bedroon, downstairs living room, dining room and hallway upstairs and downstairs. An agreement was executed. Work began with my bedroom which was left with a crack above my bathroom door which was not sanded and just painted over as well as a crack next to my bedroom window. These spots cracked within weeks of him "fixing" and painting them. He painted the molding but left areas unpainted and told me he would go back to fix it which he never did. Richard painted over all walls (using paint I purchased) without spackling in most areas and if he did spackle he didn't sand or prime the spackle before using my purchased paint. After using 80% of my paint he determined that he was not happy with the walls and needed to "skim coat" the walls. Although he said walls he only skim coated one wall. He specifically said he would not be charging anything else for this since he should have known from the beginning to skim coat them (although he ended up sending me a bill for that work). After buying hundreds of dollars of paint he even asked that I purchase more since he had used all the paint on walls which were not fixed correctly the first time. He painted dark brown paint onto molding which was going to be painted white. He did not tape anything. He did not complete the upstairs hallway, ceilings upstairs or in the dinning room, left 80% of the trim unfinished and did not paint any of the doors downstairs (4 doors total). The walls which he did paint he did not sand and left lumps in the walls which he then painted over. This left me no choice but to fire him. I am extremely upset with the work he has done. I have received estimates from four other painters who have all said they cannot do anything with the work he has done and that it is requiring more work for them to fix what he did. I will not pay him for his insufficent work and would like a refund of all costs to me. I do not recommend Richard Boyle painting to anyone.Desired Settlement: Full refund for all payment made as well as cost of paint purchased which was wasted on insufficent work.
