Review: Dr. Williams is a [redacted] insurance participating provider. As a participating provider, Dr. Williams agreed to allowed charges for services.

On 7/26/13, my daughter had all four of her wisdom teeth successfully removed by Dr. Williams. We also paid $768 at that time with an understanding that any over payment would be refunded to us after [redacted] (our dental insurance provider) paid Dr. Williams. On 8/8/13, we were notified by [redacted] that they paid Dr. Williams $750 and the allowance for the services provided was $1346. This means we are owed a refund of $172 from Dr. Williams. ($750 + $768 - $1346)

As of 10/16/13, we have not received the refund and Dr. Williams' office stated that they are still processing the refund.Desired Settlement: We would like our refund from Dr. Williams' office of $172.

Review: The dentist Richard Williams charged me $400 in coma-beam pictures of my widow teeth which he told me is necessary to take before I have my widow teeth extraction.And also he asked me to pay ahead in case the insurance company [redacted] may not cover the fee. If the insurance company refunds him back, he will refund me back. After the picture is taken and the explanation of benefit paper is mailed to me from [redacted]. I saw the problem. He is under the network, [redacted] only allows him to charge me $170. Since I already paid, and I called back the dental office ask for refund. The nurse told me they didn't agree with the insurance money, even [redacted] refunds them $170 which they should refund me $230, they can't refund this much, they only can give me $170 back because the machine is expensive. I said OK that I will call [redacted] to make sure. I told the problem to [redacted] and they say the dentist can't do it because he is under the network and he agreed the fee allowed to charge and some ways they lettered the dentist, there's no response for 6 months and the dentist didn't call me for anything at all. I was so pissed that he doesn't give me money back. Finally, [redacted] told me they give him to time to solve the problem, but dentist doesn't respond, they decide to terminate his PPD from their company, I said how about the fee I paid.[redacted] said since they can't force him to refund me, I have to find my own way to solve the problem. I was also upset because [redacted] can't protect their customer's rights at all. So whats the pointing paying for my dental insurance?? I called back the dental office and asked them to refund me. Days later, I received a check of $170 which I am still upset because he did over charged me. I don't understand if every dentist charge the fee according to how much they want, whats' the point of having dental insurance and they aren't supposed to do that. They suck blood from patients!!Desired Settlement: Refund me the rest of money back even it's only 60 dollars and apologized for the behavior they did on me from Richard Williams and [redacted]
