We did not get our money back from the first job never started, $150 - the grout, about $14 where we had a receipt from [redacted]. The tile we cannot return because he never bought us new tile, as we asked, just some used tile. We did send one voicemail and two texts and emails we have as proof, no answer on the 2nd day. We have a right to cancel any job by law within 30 days. We do not have to give him a reason. Our lawyers will take it from here. [redacted] lost credibility with us. Even if we get our money back this last job, we will not do more work with Richard's Handyman Services.

We decided on the 2nd or 3rd day that we did not want the job done. We asked for our money back. By law, we have 30 days. We wanted to give him his old tile back. He first estimated the job, as I asked for, $300. I told my wife and she said OK. Quickly he adds on material, etc., and that it could be more, depends.  My wife is filing a small claims court action but I'd rather just accept the lost. My wife is CEO of one of our businesses. Our lawyers do all the work and filing for us but, by law, we have to give him 30 days to return the money. I know why [redacted] kept the money. He had a bill to pay and gave us old tile. He even told my wife he had a bill to pay! I asked for a receipt for new tile. Instead, we got some old tile hanging around from some other job that didn't work out. [redacted] does not listen, has trouble communicating, and from now on, if not on [redacted] or [redacted], we are not considering off the wall contractors like his company. I had trouble reading his reply and do not know of any "hole in the wall!" We found out on our own you do not put tile over paneling. He is absolutely wrong to say that you can. He never told us we had to remove it first. He has lack of knowledge. My fence we had to do over and all my neighbors never gave me a good review. I never had [redacted] estimate a job before. Now, I never will. I thought nothing went down, so by law we have 30 days to get our money back. HE DID NOTHING! I also asked specifically  I wanted NEW TILE with a receipt. I called him up to make sure he understood. NO, he did not. I wanted my money back on the 2nd or  3rd day due to his lack of knowledge of tiling and we lost confidence.  I cannot even return the tile because we have no receipt. The deal was we buy the material and he does the job for $300. We let him buy the tile and he was supposed to subtract the rest from the $300 cost. However, when we found out checking with our main business other contractors, we found NO ONE puts tile over paneling. So, we wanted our money back.  We don't need a reason. He's had people call us as a reference in the past. [redacted] use to be a nice guy but [redacted], my wife, wants nothing to do with his services anymore. He even indicated that if we changed our minds, no problem. We changed our mind the 2nd day and told him right away. There was more work, over $10,000 of more work but I've contracted with other contractors. I can't believe that he would jeopardize future jobs with $150 of a job we didn't really want because you don't put tile over paneling, period! He has less knowledge than us how to do tiling, apparently. We are no longer friends and we were never friends, just neighbors.  If taking money and not returning the money when a customer changes their mind is his business model, it's not a good one, especially when the customer like us is in social media and has a very large email list, in the millions, and 109 marketing websites because he will be blacklisted.

I told [redacted] about the tile and I let him see it in my shed before he and [redacted] agreed. I took a sample to [redacted] they both liked it and agreed to use it. The tile was not used it was left over and still in the box. I was not going to charge them for the tile but they wanted to pay me for it. We looked on line on [redacted] web site on [redacted]s PC all 3 of us [redacted] still had them in stock and was the same price, so they gave me the money for the tileThey did give me $150 for the rest of martials and a partial payment for the job. I had shown them pictures of the job That the tiles were left over from ,They liked what they saw. I had no problem with that previse  tile job, They called me back to perform more work. [redacted] and [redacted] were disagreeing with each other about the there tile job,  about who wanted what. And before they changed there minds [redacted] took me around his house to show me other projects he needed help with. and if I didn't perform the tile work I was to help him with the other projects, and the money he gave me would go to the other projects. I agreed. I was Honest and upfront with [redacted] and [redacted].  [redacted] texted me a couple of days later saying the job was canceled. Did not say why. I thought I was going to  help with the other projects he told me about instead I found his complaint on the Revdex.com, , If [redacted] had this much of problem why did he not come over to my house to tell or call or email me . there is no reason for what he is doing , I have always been easy to get along with .
