Revdex.com:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Richard's Roofing regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Verbal Response:First of all the leak was on the other section of the roof, a section of the roof that I did not repair. He has sent me a letter that he wants 5 canals repairs, I am willing to do this for him. But his roof is old and he will be needing to replace his roof. I am not going to charge him for repairing these 5 canals. I called him and he has not returned my calls. I even called his office, and spoke with one of his employees. I can not go up on the roof without his permission, I am willing to help him but he needs to contact me.Richard M[redacted]

Verbal response:Richard’s Roofing states that they did go out to the consumer’s property and looked for the leak the consumer had complained about. Richard’s Roofing owner was not able to find the leak in the location the consumer had told him to look. The consumer refused to allow Richard’s Roofing...

owner to go inside the home to look for the leak. Richard’s Roofing owner has tried to reach the consumer to resolve the issue, however the consumer has refused to return his calls. Richard’s Roofing owner would like the consumer to contact him so that he can schedule a time to meet with the consumer and look at any remaining leak. Richard M[redacted], owner of Richard’s Roofing

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I was not home if he really came out to work on the roof. He knows where my business is if he really intends to talk to me he would have come to my office. I really do not know how to make it more clear. The Roof still leaks in the very same place it was leaking from when I first hired him to repair that leak. Richard knows exactly where it is leaking from because he came inside and I showed him where it is leaking from the first time he came out and contrary to his response he came inside my house when he came to my house when I reported that my roof was still leaking in the same place. I paid him $1900 for 1hr and 40 min work. Again he unknowingly told me that he overcharged me when he came out to access the report that it was still leaking. All he needs to do is fix the leak that he was paid for. I am will not accept anything else. He needs to fix the leak as the ceiling is being damaged more each time there is rain or snow the kitchen still leaks from the exact same place. Since I feel that he will never accept responsibility I will take the surveillance video of the first work he did to show the time he was there, the surveillance video of the time he says that I didn't let him in the house to access the recurring leak ( he is on video coming into my house that day), the estimates from his competitor for the over priced job he did and the audio recording of him telling me that "there is no way I charged you $2000 for this job, No way" and file a lawsuit in District court in [redacted]. This needs to be made public so as many of his potential victims will know how he does business. I will have a real roofer fix my roof and I will see him in court and on the internet. Thank you Revdex.com for your attempts to help make this right. All this guy wants is money and he already has mine.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The leak is coming into the house from the same exact spot in the ceiling in the first place. I cannot emphasize this enough, I still have a leak coming into the house from the exact same place (above the stove in my kitchen.).  The same spot that I showed him when he came out this spring to give me an estimate. Nothing has changed. In Richards first response to this complaint he states that "The consumer refused to allow Richard’s Roofing owner to go inside the home to look for the leak" when he came out to my house after the repair has failed. I have security surveillance in my home and I have video recording of him coming into my house and of him measuring the kitchen to determine where the leak is in my kitchen. He says I sent him a letter? I never asked him about the canales and do not know what they have to do with the failed roof repair. So lets be very clear. This is what will have to take place in order for me to drop this complaint and to stop the lawsuit. I paid him to stop the leak in my kitchen over my counter and next to my kitchen stove. After the first snow it STILL LEAKS IN THE VERY SAME PLACE. He was hired to repair the roof to stop the leak and he has not accomplished that yet. If the water is coming in from a different place (which I doubt), then he should have stopped the leak the first time. Since, IT IS LEAKING FROM THE VERY SAME PLACE AS PRIOR TO THIS REPAIR.I was overcharged by him. Which was pointed out to me BY HIM, when he came out to access the failed repair. At that time he stated that he never charged me $1900 for the 1 hr and 40 min job that he did. He stated that the very most that he could have charged me was $1200 (which is still very high for the work he performed). He told me that I was exaggerating the amount that I paid him. I want him to refund the overcharge $700 or deliver the work on my roof equal to the amount that I paid him. Frankly, it is a shame that this guy is allowed to do business in our community. He has deliberately lied to this investigation (stated I would not allow him to come inside to assess the situation) and to me several times dealing with him on the repair and the failed repair assessment. Either he delivers the result I paid him for and fulfills the amount of work I paid him for or refund the difference as explained or this cannot be settled here. In that case a court of law will decide.

Review: [redacted] replaced the roof in 2006. We are having problems with it and now he is unreachable. This has happened before and my wife filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. After that he quickly responded and fixed the problem. [redacted] has now been unreachable for over 3 weeks.Desired Settlement: He needs to send a worker over to look at the problem and give us a ETA of when he can repair it.
