regarding the insurance contract in question. The commercial policy form CP-1010 and the residential DP-1 form can both be used for a vacant residential building. Unfortunately, neither form would cover this type of loss. The vacant property market is limited and the coverage afforded is less due to the increased risk a vacant property presents, When this policy was first written it was made clear to the insured to review the policy in detail and contact us if there were any questions. I have attached a copy of this letter for your file In addition, the dates in Ms. M[redacted] complaint to you are not accurate. Our office received the loss notification on Thursday January 11, 2018 at approximately 2:15 pm. And it was sent to the broker shortly thereafter. The adjuster tried to make initial contact on Friday January 12" 2018 but was unsuccessful. Contact was made on Tuesday January 16" and the insured was notified that the incident would not be covered by the policy.
