Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am dissatisfied with the response since there was no indication of an apology for the times no one responded to my requests; for the times the person changed during the process, and for the last employee that who hung up the telephone on me. I knew I wasn't going to get a refund; however, I didn't expect this short as response like it was my fault. The information states that I informed them that I was refinancing and that wasn't true. I only informed them after they did not respond to me. I knew they wouldn't take any responsibility; however, I still wanted this information to be made known. I intend on letting other people know about this law office and the tactics that they use.

Review: In May I filed for a mortgage restructre to lower my mortgage payements with a company called Richey Law Group and/or Richey Law & Associates. They claimed they could lower my payments and interest rate within about two months. They said I should not make a mortgage payment for two months to have a better chance to recieve the request for the restructure of the loan. I did as they requested and also sent all documentation requested in a timely manner. I also sent in a payment of $3,000 for the services. After many months of going back and forth they have been very difficult to work with and almost impossible to reach via a phone call. The latest email I have recieved is the following: 'Hello [redacted], Our firm mailed you a termination letter on 12/26/2013. Did you receive that letter? Per the tracking information the USPS left you a notice to pick it up on 12/27/2013. The modification was declined because the profit and loss requested at the beginning of December was not submitted, therefore, they declined your modification due to Lack of Documents. At this time, your file has been terminated with our firm for lack of documents cooperation. I emailed you at least 3 different occasions explaining the profit and loss being requested, on top of the emails previously sent to you by my assistant [redacted]. Therefore, due to the lack of documents cooperation and the denial by the lender due to the same reason, Lack of Documents, we can no longer proceed with representation. We highly suggest that you go to the usps local branch to pick up the letter. We did our due diligence with the letter shipment, it is now up to you to pick up the mailed document. Here is the tracking number [redacted], go to www.usps.com to track it. Thank you,'Per all of our email and communication I have explained many times that I am out of the country and the only way to reach me is to email and I will return the call.I am requesting that they refund my $3,000. I have documentation.Desired Settlement: I would like the $3,000 refunded.

Review: I sent 3000$ to richeys law firm for a remodification with my mortgage company(mid isand mortgage) richeys law firm took my money and did nothing for me. still today I am having a dispute with my mortgage company, about to be in forclosure I tried contacting richeys law firm. I spoke to [redacted] 949-988-7593 they called me three times and told me to tax them me and my wifes pay stubs dated 12/18/12 I called multiple times since then and they still havent got back to me. I keep on leaving messages and they will not respond. I would like a refund of my money immeadietly.Desired Settlement: I should get all the money back that I gave up to them. they didnt resolve none of my issues.

Review: In April 2013, I began the process with The Richey Law Group to assist me in securing a loan modification with my mortgage company. During this process, the person(s) handling my case changed at least three different times. I maintained copies of all the documents that I forwarded to the law group, including the payments made for their services. I have paid a total of $3500.00 for services that were never completed. They told me to check the website for status updates on the loan process - which I did. The last telephone call that I received from a [redacted] was on January 8th at which time she left me a message stating that she needed to speak with me since the Lender told her that they had spoken to me. I returned her call and informed her that I had not spoken to my Lender. I left her at least 4 messages and an email which she did not respond to until January 22nd. After I did not hear from her, on one of the messages I told her to just close my case out because nothing was being done. On January 10th, the Lender called me regarding lowering my interest rate to lower my monthly payment (which is what I understood that this law group was doing). The Lender had been sending me correspondence regarding the lowering of the interest rate; however, I never responded to them until they called me on January 10th which was AFTER the January 8th message from The Richey Law Group. When [redacted] called me 14 days later, and I tried explaining the situation to her, she became irritable with me and hung up the telephone on me. I just think this was a horrible case of poor customer service and complete disrespect for clients. I understand that some work was done and I probably will not get any of my money back, I still think the law group has an obligation to their clients to be professional and courteous especially when a client has paid them in full. Miss [redacted] really needs to go back to Customer Service class and be refreshed on proper protocol!!!Desired Settlement: Since I will not be able to get any monies that I paid, I do expect an apology from the Law Group regarding this incident.

Response:

[redacted] retained Richey Law and Associates on April 23, 2013. Richey Law and Associates upheld the terms of the retainer by completing the following:

· Firm Prequalification and File Set Up

· Compilation of Documents and Legal Review and Analysis

· Audit of Client Financials and Submission of a Mortgage Mitigation Package

File was in active review for loan restructure with lender; pending mitigation resolution when the Client contacted our Firm to inform us she applied for a loan refinance and was approved. Obtaining a loan refinance counteracts work performed by our firm.

We apologize if Morris was unsatisfied with the level of Customer Service provided. We have a Client Care Team dedicated to clients to ensure clients are updated on their case. A detailed audit will be conducted to ensure our firm is fulfilling this obligation to our clients.

Client does not qualify for refund based on the cancellation and refund policies outlined in the signed retainer agreement.

No refund to be issued to the client.

Review: On or before November, 2012, I received solicitation through the mail from Richey Law & Associates promising they could help me save my home from foreclosure. They charged $3,500. The continued to communicate until April, 2013, but between April and August there was no communication. Then in October, 2013 they contacted me requesting more documentation. When I contacted their office to let them know I hadn't received their fax no one answered the phone. I called again and left another message. On or about December 12, 2013 I received a letter from Richey Law & Associates letting me know they terminated my representation for failure to send in documents.I am outraged that I was scammed by this company who preyed on my vulnerabilities. Please help.[redacted]Desired Settlement: $3,500 fee paid

Review: To whom it may concern,It all started out when I received a solicitation in the mail telling me I could get my mortgage lowered and even a lower annual percentage rate. So due to the fact my wife had lost her job and we were having difficult time paying our mortgage I called. This started in April 2013.When I called the company I first spoke to a woman by the name of Lindsey Davis, She explained the process to me, told me that it would take anywhere from 30 to 45 days to get me a loan modification, and what it would take for me to start the process, One of the first things she said it would be $3,500. 00, But she said I would be able to make payments. So I decided to put my trust in this company for they sounded trustworthy. Later I found out it is Illegal to charge for I fee up front, I wish I had known that. Than I was told to send all Mortgage statements, Income and expense, Property Taxes and so on and so on. So I completed all the requirements which they had asked for and waited. While I was waiting for Richey law to go to work on my behalf I was handed over to another woman by the name of [redacted] who is the Senior Processor. She called me and told me she would be handling my case from now on. After waiting and waiting for some good news months had gone by where I had felt they had been doing not a single thing for me. My bank was calling me trying to get answers from me and help me. I told my bank I had hired Richey Law to handle my case and had given them Richey Laws number to speak to them. After I had spoke to my bank, Chase Bank, [redacted] had become very upset with me and advised me not to speak to them!! After anoher conversation with [redacted] she told me my bank a cancelled my modification because I spoke to them and cancelled with them, which is a lie. So she had to start the process all over again. I checked with my bank and they said it had never been started. As I felt lied to I decide to work with my bank myself. I told Richey Law I wanted a refund! [redacted] said we had were do.

I would Like a full refund from this company! They have done not a single thing for me but take my $3,500.00. She said I voided the contract by talking to my bank, The reason I talked to my bank was because they offered me a deal which I didnt like, So [redacted] says to me we can no longer help you. Im glad I never accepted the first offer from my bank because it was only temporary, My bank has now given me a permanent loan modification which I did on my own with out the

· Monthly Mortgage Payment Reduction

Upon final decision from the investor of the loan, the loan was approved for a 6 month Unemployment Forbearance.

As a curiosity, we offered the client to resubmit for a modification once the 6 moth forbearance had been completed; client declined.

Based on our retainer, Forbearance is one of the scopes of services we offer, therefore, that considered our services rendered. Based on the work performed, no refund will be issued.
