Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/22) */
(Revdex.com - converted from original. See document file.)
Mrs. [redacted] has no official standing as the house we worked on, due to a fire as it is owned by her son [redacted], with whom we contracted.
The damaged contents was separated from...

cleanable contents by a specialist hired by the insurance carrier. We precisely inventoried the cleanable contents, delivered it to the temporary residence. cleaned it there, inventoried it again and delivered it to the restored property. I find the contention that employees stole anything totally without merit.
The front door and fireplace doors were not replaced because the insurance adjuster would only, correctly so, pay for things damaged by this house fire. I could see no valid reason to argue that any problem to the door was due to the fire, or that any damage to the fireplace doors was from anything other than ordinary fires in the fireplace.
A window in the kitchen was eliminated due to rearranging and greatly improving the kitchen layout. The exterior wall of this window is brick. We agreed that we would install cement board and stucco the exterior of the opening as we did. A few months later, Mrs. [redacted] asked me to make corrections to the stucco as print was bleeding through the finish.
I suggested seal and restucco or seal and paint. Mrs. [redacted] was going
to think about it and let me know. A few months later she called me to see what I was going to do about it. I met her at the house but could find no bleeding of print. She said that disappeared when the stucco dried. Now she wanted the opening bricked. I told her that that was not part of the agreement and that it would cost at least 500.00 to do so. Her husband said he had a friend that was a mason and he would take care of this.
A few months ago, the contention was raised that an odor could be detected under the staircase in the basement. I viewed the situation and although could not detect any odor, had an empioyee seal a few difficult to get to areas such as under the last lower step. Until now there has been no contention of unresolved odor.
In reading Mrs. [redacted]s complaint, Im sure it is clear to all concerned to who has the attitude.
If our customer, Mr. [redacted] has any issues unresolved, I will be pleased to try to resolve any such problems with him. I will no longer deal with Mrs. [redacted].
Sincerely yours,
[redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/06/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I only reported what [redacted] asked me to report. I am sure he will open his own complaint. As far as my so called attitude, it was forced by [redacted]. I just know he will never get any more business from any of us. Life is to short
