Review: Richmond Auto Repair had my car over 3 weeks to put a rebuilt transmission in their service is very unprofesional I had to get 3 renatl cars also lost a client because my job require me to have my car they keep putting me off telling me to come back in 24hours I do and their are more excuse or something else is wrong with the car I am so emotionally and mentally dranied at the pointDesired Settlement: All I want is the 800 I gave them also reimburse me for the rental cars I had to get over 3 week's of them having my car lost wages

Review: Its now April 2015,I have been waiting for my vehicle since Nov 2014. I had my truck towed to this shop, because it broke down on me, [redacted] took a look under the hood and told me it is going to need a new engine, 2 weeks it sat at his shop untill I could make a choice to repair or trade in vehicle. I decided to repair, he quoted me a price over the phone $2,800 and if I paid cash that same day he would charge 2,400 for engine with 40k miles and to do struts as well. I thought what a deal! I went to the bank to empty my last savings to save my car! I paid him cash, he even waited at the shop after hrs. for me to get there. I paid and he wrote me receipt and told me the engine would be in, in a few days, and to give him about 2 weeks because of Thanksgiving, I agreed. Weeks past and it began to be story after story. He said he has been very sick with pneumonia, then his mom passed away, a worker quit, his shop had a leak. He did however text me only after I inquired about prognoses weekly but never accurate information he always said he will finish the job in a few days but explained he had a lot on his plate, he began to say he needs new parts, then next my whole car is flooded because of a rain, he stated he would have to use blowers to dry out car before starting engine more weeks past and the new engine is then not connecting with electric wiring computer to start the car now. Until I asked him to refund my money he became frustrated with me asking and pushed my car out of his garage and left it there with remaining pieces on the top of the hood with no response of my calls or text for weeks. I constantly drove by alone and with family members no site of him, the place was always vacant even during business hours. One trip there an officer parked there told me, he has had complaints from others before.I learned that day he had plans on changing over to a used car lot, I knew then that he lied to me from the start. I had my car towed to another mechanic off of his property shortly after.Desired Settlement: I purchased this vehicle from [redacted], to have dependable transportation and safety for myself and two children. I have been with my employer since 1999 I know the value of an honest business. I now have severe mold on the interior and my new mechanic states it has the original engine with new pieces, however my old engine was never removed. Despite water damage I would like full refund to pay for unfinished repairs elsewhere, full interior detail, excessive rental car reimbursement.
