On May *** 2015, the letter attached was delivered to *** ***'s office regarding the inaccurate invoice that was sent to meAfter reading his response, I think it is necessary for me to state that I do not want to receive any correspondences from his office, especially six months from now stating that I have an unpaid balanceIt would be appreciated if he would take the time to communicate to his billing vendor and have the charge completely removed from my file, this way, I would not have to 'disregard any bills from his office in the future"It would be the sensible thing to do but it does require some effort on the path of Richmond Hill Medical Services P.CAdditionally, I appreciate that the erroneous and fraudulent charge has been removed from my account and would like to advise *** *** that as a Social Worker I am very much cognizant of the intricacies of Obamacare and how it has changed health care and billing practicesWhat *** *** is implying - which is Obamacare is the reason he billed for an alleged annual physical/preventative care visit is an absolute distortion of the perimeters set by health insurance companies and what are billable servicesI explained this in the attached letter I sent to his office - received on May *** Annual preventative care visits are a non-chargeable service to patients and they are allowed once per year, there is no co-payment required for this by any health insurance providers that I know offHaving deducted a co-payment in the amount of $from me - there is no feasible explanation why this visit would have been billed as an annual preventative care visit because it would be insurance fraud. Also my visit to his office was not for an annual examination, no such service was provided by himI think it is necessary to reiterate this fact because my Primary Care Provider did all of these preventative examinations/tests a few weeks later. Again, thank you to Richmond Hill Medical Services P.C and *** *** for removing this inaccurate charge from my accountI will be sending a written request to have all of my files transferred to my current Primary Care Provider as required by HIPPA Regulations Regards,*** ***

Attached is a bill from ** ***'s office for services rendered on the date in questionI find his response a bit puzzling regarding the situation that transpired, after all he is the person who took two months to write the check in the amount of $which was owed to me. His admission to not having knowledge of the situation is erroneous and fabricated - on the date of my visit, Feb *** I said to him that his Assistant said I did not have Health Insurance coverage in spite of me telling her that I did*** said that she was unable to verify my benefits because she couldn't get anyone on the phone at 3pm on a weekdayI reiterated to *** *** that I did have coverage and asked him to refrain from cashing the check in the amount of $which *** said I had to pay before I could see himHe said okayMy assumption at that point was that he would not cash the $check. Two days later I called the office to ask *** if she verified my benefits because I was aware that I needed to pay a $co-pay***'s response was, she didn't get time to call (this is the level of professionalism and tact that a medical receptionist employed at *** ***'s office exudes)Months went by until I saw that the check in the amount of $which I had written to *** *** after being accosted to do so before seeing him (in spite of having insurance coverage) was cashed against my request and fraudulently so because I verified with my health insurance provider that on Feb ***, *** *** was paid in full for my medical visit on Feb *** At this point I contacted the Claims Department of my health insurance company to begin efforts to recoup the $I was owed ($- $copay = $65). *** ***'s attempt to defer responsibility for staff and his office regarding mailing a check to 'the address on file for me' is feebleI relocated approximately years ago and did visit his office after that time and did complete the paperwork like requested each time you visit a doctor's office and listed updated address and phone information - no one took the time to read and update my fileHe should admit that! Secondly, I stated to his receptionist with a very thick *** *** accent (I don't know her name) that I needed the check mailed to me because I could not stop by to pick it upMy interaction with this individual who appears to be *** ***'s lackey, was bizarreShe told me the office did not have to mail the check to me that I had to come and collect it - which I knew was nonsense Later, after my Insurance Company got more actively involved in this matter - the same receptionist fabricated a story after calling me (I have the call logs to prove it) that I called the office and threatened her that's why she told me I had to come to the office to pithe checkIt was such a senseless statement in addition to being untrue...
Finally, with the persistence of the Claims Department at my health insurance provider - *** ***'s office eventually got my current mailing address and a check was mailed to meI deposited it on April *** and it posted to my account on April *** in the amount owed - $
Attached is another bizarre bill from *** ***'s office for $which he claims I owe for a medical visit on Feb ***which is the date the fiasco beganHow is this possible? My insurance provider paid him in full for a completely covered medical visit on Feb ***, *** *** deducted the $co-pay I owed him and now sends me a bill in the amount listed - this is blatant fraud! I owe this man nothingAs for his apology regarding his staff, my sense on that is - his staff operates with his support and direction so his insincere words mean nothing to me because after two months of back and forth and unnecessary headache he finally wrote a check to compensate me for the monies owed and now sends me a bill that is totally fraudulent.

As per Obamacare, preventive care is billable and is paid by all the insurances.According to [redacted]'s insurance, this service is not payable.I have already written tis charge off.[redacted] can disregard this or any further notices from my billing company. She is not responsible for this charge.

In response to [redacted]'s complaint,I did mail a check for $65.00 on march [redacted],2015.That check was mailed to her address on file as confirmed by staff from [redacted].The check was not cashed.[redacted] was requested several times to come to my clinic and pick up the ckeck which she refused.i...

made a stop payment on that check on 04/**/2015 and issued another check which has bees cashed already.I do not have first hand information on what transpired between my staff and [redacted].If my staff was unprofessional to [redacted],I apologize on their behalf.

Review: In early February of 2015, I visited Richmond Hill Medical Services to meet with [redacted], my appointment was at 3pm. The front desk Receptionist claimed to have called to verify my health insurance benefits and said that "no one answered the phone".I explained that I do have health insurance, the plan is active since I had used it at another office a few weeks ago. She proceeded to tell me that [redacted] could not see me unless I paid the full fee which was $80/office visit. I told her that I did not have the money, I only had the $15 co-pay. She ([redacted]) said that I would only be able to see [redacted] after I paid the full fee ($80) because she did not know if I had insurance coverage. I reluctantly agreed to pay the fee via check because I needed the medical clearance not for my job. Upon my return home at 4pm that same evening, I called my insurance provider to again verify that I was covered to see [redacted]. They verified that I was in less than a minute and that my co-pay was $15. I called back [redacted]'s office the next day to share what I had been told, [redacted] again answered the phone and when I asked her if she had verified my insurance coverage, she responded by saying, "No, I didn't have time to."It's two months later and after a nightmare of back and forth between my insurance provider and the insolent, incompetent and dishonest individuals at Richmond Hill Medical Services, I have not received the $65 that is owed to me. [redacted] refuses to talk to me via phone and I refuse to set food in that office again. The office was given my current address to mail the check to and they are refusing to do so. I need someone to hold [redacted] responsible for his dishonesty and [redacted] his Assistant [redacted] for her incompetence. I am owed $65 which is a lot to me and it seems like 49 cents for a stamp is a lot to [redacted] so we both know the value of money.Desired Settlement: I want the money I am owed - $65.
