Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10722205, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The proof of payment was attached previously and Storage Express does not show records, this is a cocern and my primary complaint Their business records don't add up and I overpaid a month towards the #facility and should credited or applied to the following month From what I see, one can not pay in advance and it be paid in full, as the only take it monthly out, which makes no sense...If I pay for six months it is just that, paid in six months I don't want to see in three months that I have credit on my account, credit now on what? Confusing? It not only confusing but bad business practice Regards, [redacted] N***

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] The proof of payment was attached previously and Storage Express does not show records, this is a cocern and my primary complaint.  Their business records don't add up and I overpaid a month towards the #206 facility and should credited or applied to the following month.  From what I see, one can not pay in advance and it be paid in full, as the only take it monthly out, which makes no sense...If I pay for six months it is just that, paid in six months.  I don't want to see in three months that I have credit on my account, credit now on what?  Confusing?  It not only confusing but bad business practice.
Regards,

On August 24, 2015 Ms. N[redacted] rented a storage unit (space 237) at our facility located at 2158 Holiday Lane in Franklin, Indiana. We offer a discount if a customer pre-pays their storage space for 6 months or more, which Ms. N[redacted] did prepay for 6 months. We immediately applied the full six month...

credit to her account and each month when her payment comes due, it is deducted from this credit. This is how we process prepaid accounts and Ms. N[redacted] feels that is not the way her account should be handled. I have emailed her information stating she is paid through August 23rd on this space and showing the breakdown of her payments. Ms. N[redacted] rented an additional unit (space 206) on June 27th and at that time our representative did see a credit of $99 (credit for the July 24 rent on space 237) and explained that we could use this credit for part of the two month's rent she wanted to pay on this new space. Therefore, when we used the $99 credit on space 237 and she made a payment of $21, for a total amount of $120 to be applied to space 206. I spoke with the customer on July 17th and explained how we moved the credit for her. She explained she did not understand that we were doing this, so I moved the $99 from space 206 back to space 237. I also explained to her when I did this, she would then want to pay the $99 for space 206 as she wanted to pay through August on each space. She then paid the $99 and she asked for an email regarding this. Ms. N[redacted] emailed me on July 191h and stated that she paid an additional $120 that we have not accounted for. I responded that I would be happy to apply these funds with proof that this has been paid as we have no record of this additional payment. I have given her a complete breakdown of what was due on both spaces and what funds she has paid. With this breakdown, it reflects both accounts paid and no payment is due until August on each space. It is apparent we have differing views on how credits should be handled, but from our perspective, we have made every effort to resolve the situation.I am including the following supporting documents:·         Copy of Ms. N[redacted]'s emails and my responses regarding the process and payments.                                                                                             Respectfully,                                                                                             Patty Hughes                                                                                            Customer Service Manager
