Rick Villandry Remodeling

We hired Rick and Rich to replace an old deck on the back of our home, and we could not be happier with the results. The project turned out to be more complicated than we initially expected (by no fault of theirs, but rather because of some existing issues with the house that were uncovered during demolition of the old deck), and they handled everything perfectly, consulting us when needed and being completely transparent about any changes that were needed. They were conscientious of our family being home during the renovation, left the site cleaned up and organized each day, and were great to work with all the way from the initial designs to the completion of the project. We have already started talking with them about another project next year, and would highly recommend them to anyone!

We had an excellent experience with a major home remodeling project done by RVR. From the moment we met with Rick and Rich (father and son team), we sensed an instant likeability and trust factor. Those feelings quickly grew and strengthened throughout the duration of the project.

We chose to have Rich (son) do the initial design work, for which the cost could be applied to the job if we were to select RVR to do the work. We were very impressed with the amazing construction design and we moved ahead with RVR. The entire process; plan/design/build, was truly enjoyable. We'd describe the Villandry's as professional, honest, hard-working, talented, polite, personable and caring people. They were so proud of their work, and it showed. They were meticulous, leaving the site broom-swept every day.

One of the selling factors for us was that both Rick and Rich committed to be onsite working every day and to continue working on our project until its completion. Not only are we glad to sing their praises, but we also want to acknowledge how incredibly friendly and professional everyone else was that worked on the project. In particular, Andrew, a full-time member of the RVR team, was absolutely tremendous and he went above and beyond in every aspect of the job, every day. ALL of the sub-contractors were top-notch professionals in their trade. Rick and Rich project-managed all of the contracted work perfectly. The communication was great and the results were phenomenal.

Naturally, with any major home renovation project, there are unforeseen problems that arise. Rick was sure to contact us immediately regarding any obstacle that was faced. He would explain the situation, describe the possible options, and recommend a solution. We never felt pressured. Rick would calmly help us arrive at a decision, then quickly get it resolved.

There were many instances when Rick and Rich would graciously, and generously, go the extra mile to ensure that the job was done right. Short-cuts were not an option. Whether it was days spent leveling the house, or digging up and replacing an old cement floor, to doing extra work on the foundation, they performed the job like they were working on their own property.

We must also highlight the beautiful hard-scape work designed by Rick. With a sloping grade around the property, lots of attention and imagination was needed to retain the earth and do so with an attractive landscape design. Rick knew what needed to be done and he and the team went to work. He did an awesome job on that unexpected project, a testament to his many skills above and beyond that of master carpenter.

I never write reviews, however I feel compelled to acknowledge the OUTSTANDING work Rick and his son completed at my residence. I live in an older home, and I was nervous about hiring just anyone. The minute I spoke to Rick on the phone, I knew he was the right person for the job. As time went on, I learned Rick learned the trade from his Dad when he was very young. The completed project was beyond my expectations and his schedule stayed on target. Rick and his son actually fixed a few minor things I didn't ask for simply because he wanted the job done right. Rick V is an honest man, a meticulous craftsman and a true Blessing in the industry.

We have been working with Rick Villandry Remodeling for the past year and have experienced outstanding service. They have an attention to detail that ensures satisfaction and are great communicators via phone, text, email and drop box - we weren't living in the home during the work and never felt like we didn't know what was going on. I have to admit I'm not usually one to write a review but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do so this time. I would highly recommend Rick , Rich and crew to anyone for any job! His craftsmanship is flawless and his attention to detail in every aspect of the job was impeccable. He built my husband and I a sunroom that is simply beautiful.Nothing was missed in the process of making this room all that we had wanted. Was very flexible when it came to a few minor changes we wanted. We also appreciated the fact that whenever we asked his opinion he was open and honest with us. The sunroom was our second time working with Rick. A few years ago he did two decks for us and everyone who sees them comments on their beauty. It never occurred to us to look for anyone besides Rick to build the sunroom. He and his crew are hard workers, polite, fun to work with and super clean. At the end of each day the work area was cleaned up as if they hadn't even been here. I would not hesitate for a second to have him for our next job. If you want a top quality job you need look no further than Rick V.

Rick and his crew were a pleasure to work with. Not only did he turn my logcabin bathroom into a beautiful haven but he made the process easy and painless. If I could give Rick V and his crew of professionals 6+ stars, I would. They undertook a large project for us, to create a full bedroom, bath, walk-in cedar closet, and exercise area in the unfinished basement area......and finished ahead of schedule. This also included installation of an egress window through part of the foundation. Rick and his team were expert in every aspect of this project. They are all about quality work and materials, customer satisfaction, and working within budget, plans and working area. Rick demands the best, insisting on timely, quality work from his team. He understands and adheres to the customer's needs. We have moved 25 times (mostly military) and had work done in many, if not most of those places. None, anywhere, can match the quality work done by Rick. They built me 35 Ft. pergola. Fantastic experience (when was the last time I said that about a contractor? Never!) Rick was great from the consultation (listens well) to the final day of the project. He was enthusiastic from the start, designed it in close communication with me, and executed a masterwork. Detail is amazing. I'm very proud of his work!
