Review: Upset with the way that my vehicle repair was handled. I brought in my 2007 dodge grand caravan and had an insurance claim for some repairs and also repairs that I paid for out of pocket. I was told by the technicians that the one door was covered under my insurance claim and they replace both back doors. When I paid for it I was told that I owed almost $1000 more than I thought because they made a mistake. I was offered to make payments on this portion because it was their mistake that they didn't read the insurance estimate properly. I also have issues with the vehicle overheating. I was told after the first time it over heated in the parking lot that the mechanics would tear it apart and diagnose the issue and be called the next day. I received a call 3 days later after I called to find out what was going on. I was told the water pump was broken. I gave the ok for them to fix the water pump. When I went to pick my vehicle up I was told I was being charged for a thermostat as well. I never gave a go ahead on anything more than the water pump and was subsequently charged for the labor on the thermostat but the price of the piece was waived. I called the business this afternoon and am completely dissatisfied with what I was told. I was basically told that we fixed what was broken without looking any further so it's too bad for you. Those were not the words used but that was the general impression that I received. I will never deal with this repair center again due to their poor quality of customer service.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money that I spent on the door that they mistakenly thought was covered under the insurance claim due to their lack of attention to detail. I do not want anything more than that.

Response:

I am responding to a letter received from Revdex.com of Western Pennsylvania ID [redacted]. In regards to the insurance estimate the door in question was on the insurance estimate. The insurance company reduced pay out on that panel due to prior damage on that panel. The door was written for replacement with a LKQ or used door assembly on the insurance estimate as completed and no refund will be given. The vehicle was towed into shop. The damage to the front of vehicle that was not related to accident submitted to insurance that damage to the front of vehicle was repair as per estimate given to Mr [redacted]. The vehicles radiator had been attempted to be glued on prior to the vehicle arriving at shop. Once repairs where completed. The vehicles cooling system would not cool properly the water was not circulating. I stated at that time we would look at the vehicle and see if would could find any thing.

Review: Received a notice from Rick Weaver Buick Dealership, [redacted] regarding a sale and prize notification. Top prize being a new car or cash. There was a letter and a card with a key on it. On the letter and on the card in bold letters were the words Lucky Number, with a number next to it. There was a scratch-off circle under the Lucky Number on the letter and a sentence under that indicating if the scratch-off number matched my number (which one assumes is the Lucky Number), then I was the winner of the car or the cash. I scratched off the spot and the number did indeed match the Lucky Number noted. When I went to the dealership, a sales person met me at the door and wanted some information from me (name, address, etc.) I told him I was not in the market for a car, but was just checking my number to see if I won anything. The man told me he was there to conduct the sale in order to help the dealership liquidate some of their inventory. He then said we would check my number to see if I won anything. I told him according to the information on the letter, I had won the car or the cash. He then told me that was not the number they were using. The 'number' they were using to determine winners was next to my name on the letter and, of course, I was NOT the winner of the car or any of the other big prizes, but only got a chance to spin the prize wheel. So the exercise of matching the Lucky Number with the scratch-off number was of no significance at all. Whereas I was not surprised with the way things turned out, it did make me angry that they generated the fraudulent documents in the first place. I also doubt anyone won the car or any of the other big prizes. Apparently this business is not doing very well, or they would not need to resort to such low tactics just to get people in their show room. As a result, I would not buy a vehicle from them even if I were in the market for one and will not hesitate to share this story with my family and friends.Desired Settlement: Would like the business to stop this type of promotion (I'm sure this is not the first time they've done this). I'm sure the only reason there are not more Revdex.com complaints against them is because most people don't bother to file one. I want my complaint on-record so anyone who does bother to check the Revdex.com website will be able to read it. This shows a lack of integrity on the part of the business. BUYER BEWARE!!

Response:

To Whom It May Concern;

In April '13 we in fact did give a check in the amount of $24,000 to a local

Erie family that was the winner of either that or a 2013 Buick Verano.

In June '13 we also had a local Erie woman will an iPad 2.

Both of these winners pictures where posted on the mailer in question.

For the sale in Oct '13 we did not have a winner of any of the major prizes,

but did give out 500 Emergency tool kits, 250 mini flash lights and 250

wallet/tote bags.

Thank you for coming in to see if you won the car, we are hoping to have the

contest again in 2014.

Response:

I received an e-mail response in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. Whereas it's nice to know they claim someone has indeed won a few big prizes in the past, I can assure you everyone who reported to their showroom was convinced they won the car/cash, based on the fraudulent wording of the mailer. I basically wanted this issue posted on your website for others to read. Mission accomplished. Thanks.

Review: I took my car in to have a noise checked out in my steering on a Saturday morning,and a clunking sound coming from the rear exhaust/suspension area. When I received a call from the service mgr. on duty, he told me that I needed a front strut and a rear spring that was broken.He proceeded to tell me that both parts and labor were covered by warranty, and that all I had to pay for was a front end alignment. I had purchased an extended warranty that was good up to 105,000 miles,and I knew my odometer was at 110,000 miles, but I didn't question his assessment and my total bill of $78.00 for the alignment. I didn't know about any specific warranties on any specific parts. So,they fixed the car, I paid my bill, and all was good. I left the service dept. with a receipt that said paid in full. Three days later, the service manager called me and told me that unfortunately the parts and labor were NOT covered, and that my bill was going to be $520.00. I definitely would not have had the services performed that day if there had been any question about the warranties. I didn't have the money to pay for it, so I would have declined the service at that time, or I would have chosen to possibly had the work done somewhere else. I bought my car from this dealership brand new, and have had almost all of my services performed by them without a problem. I don't believe that I should be responsible for their mistake, which was admitted to me by the dealership's owner.Desired Settlement: The dealership offered me a 20% discount leaving a balance of $421.64. I am offering to settle this matter for $200.00 cash.
