The day I heard of the complaint, June 3, I went to the customers home to meet him and as the situationOut over some fence boards he had that had brokenHe believed these were defective or low quality boardsI believe they may have been broken by his dogNever the less, I offered to
call him later that day with a day and time that we would replace the broken boards and ad a third support rail to the fence for freeThe fence had originally been ordered with two rails, and the third rail so reduce the chance of any additional boards breaking.
As promised, I called him on the evening of the 3rd and scheduled to do the warrantee work on his fence for Wednesday June 8thSo, on June 8th I personally supervised one of our crews doing the above described workAdditionally, we oiled the customers locking gate latches as they were not operating correctly
When the work was completed, the customer was not homeI left him a voice mail to confirm he is satisfied with the repair, but haven't heard back from him to this point
At this point I assume the customer is satisfied and ask that the Revdex.com close this case as resolved satisfactorilyIf the customer has any further issues with his fence we will be happy to address those issues

I have Contacted Mr*** with *** ***, and have forwarded forwarded him emails between myself and their attorney *** *** *** The emails document that Rick's Custom Fencing and Decking has been anxious to schedule and fix the issues with their project dating back to a meeting with Ms
B***, the owner of *** ***, and their "Building Solutions" experts CERTA in August of 2015.
The delay on this project is completely on *** ***Rick's Custom Fencing and Decking remains anxious to fix any of the issues we were originally contracted for

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThis being said, I find it disturbing that the company continues to use an "unusually hot summer" as means to justify the poor craftsmanship of the fenceI am from mid America where summer temps are much higher and I have never had these kinds of issuesIf it is truly the lumber that's an issue, perhaps the quality of the wood they use is poor? Three months of degree sunny weather shouldn't wreck woodIf it did, nobody would ever have a wood fenceFurthermore, if that were the case, why did the top rails stop curling when they came and screwed them down instead of nailing them? I would definitely say the gates are finally fixed (for now, I'm cautiously optimistic) but I am disappointed that the company will still not take ownership that perhaps it was poor craftsmanship and/or product quality. From what I understand we built this a wood framed fence and gate which is what she purchasedThe wood frame on the gate warped as wood sometimes willThis warping was aggravated by our unusually warm dry weatherAt no charge to the customer we have replaced the gates with metal frame gates that
should eliminate any future potential problemsThere was a delay in getting this done properly and for that I apologizeIt is my understanding that all is currently well with this customers fence and gatesIf there are any issues with the fence or gate, I will be personally happy to come meet the customer and supervise any needed additional adjustmentsIf the customer would like me to reimburse her for her damaged pants, I will be happy to do so.
