Re: Response to Customer Complaint ID # [redacted] On the morning of Monday November 16, the homeowner called to request a service call due to his furnace not workingWe were able to give him a time frame for same day service between and Our technician arrived at 11: am, diagnosed the problem as a bad inducer assemblyTechnician let the homeowner know that he would have to get a quote together for repair and would call them back with costTechnician departed at 11:am and collected payment for invoice # [redacted] for $ The homeowner was called that same afternoon and quoted repair cost for new inducer assembly, installed for $and we could return on Tuesday November 17th between and to do said repair Homeowner said they would call us back to let us know if they wanted to move forward with the repairHomeowner did call back later that afternoon and verbally approved repair cost and to take that Tuesday morning to appointment, if was still availableThe appointment was confirmed On Tuesday November 17, 2015, the technician arrived at 9: a.m., they replaced the quoted inducer assembly, checked operation of gas furnace and departed at 9:a.mwith invoice # [redacted] signed and paid in full by the homeowner in the amount of $ After the technician had departed, homeowner called office to inquire about the warranty on replaced partHe was informed that all replaced parts at Rick’s Heating & Cooling have a year part and year labor warranty and no return trip charge in anything fails within the first days(Monday thru Friday to 5) Rick’s Heating & Cooling Incis a flat rate service providerAs a flat service provider all repair cost include the part and any miscellaneous cost to retrieve part and labor provided to do the repairUsing a flat rate for repairs is an industry standardAgain all replacement parts carry a warranty of year on part and year of labor The fact that the homeowner called later on Tuesday November 17th to say they found the part online for a cost of $does not have any bearing on the issue since the homeowner approved the cost of the repair on November 16thAttached are copies of both invoices
