Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Thank youMrL*** has acknowleged that he began sanding on our floors, then never came back, called or returned any of our calls or text messages. We had no idea if he planned to come back or what was going on. That in itself is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We hired him in good faith. our project was delayed for over a week as we tried to contact him, then delayed even further, once it became obvious he was not coming back, in order to find another contractor to do the job. Concerning his response. He was aware when he accepted the job that there was only one working outlet. He stated it would not be a problemOur electrician said it would be ok for him to wire into the breaker. No one else has had a problem using the outlet. The flooring company that actually finished the floors used the same outlet and had no problems with the power or their sander getting hot and shutting off. So it sounds like the money he spent getting it rewired did not fix the problem. As for the paint on the floors, he also knew what the floors looked like before he agreed to do the job. As for the other side of the house, (it is a house with apartments, two of which are identical) that is NOT why the person that refinished those could not do these, and MrL*** has absolutely no right to make such a statement when he does not know what he is talking about. He can think what he wants, but unless he has the facts, he has no right to comment on what someone else did or didn't do. There was also not another company that sanded the few spots. It was actually the person that did the other side. He sanded a few spots from each unit to see what kind of wood it was. Not that it is any of Mrl***'s business, but it was last June/July when he did those floors, and he was unable to do the last unit due to personal reasons. As for sanding the "most screwed up part", he didn't do anyone any favors or save anyone any time. After the patching was done, there was still the same amount of sanding to be done to make the patched areas and the rest of the floors match. For abandoning the job like he did, he knew better than to ask for money. And, absolutely YES, for abandoning the job, not calling, not answering our calls or texts, day after day after day, YES, he should (at the very least!) be a professional, be a man, apologize, and pay us the difference between his bid and what we had to pay someone else to actually do the jobThat amount was $1,238.00. We did not have time to "shop around" to find someone to do it for less. MrL***'s actions caused more problems than just the floors. We has to cancel our painter, electrician and handyman that were scheduled to come in after the floors were done. He is a contractor. He knows what problems he caused. The bottom line is, if he did not want to continue with the job, he should have let us know. You don't just disappear without a wordI know this was long, but I just don't want him to get away with his ridiculous excuse for abandoning the job without a word. And, I want the Revdex.com to know what kind of person he really is. Consumers get ripped off enough and need to be aware of his work ethicThank you so much for your timeSincerely, *** ***

yes I started sanding mr*** job the day we started there was only one electric outlet working and I have myself and two guys working.we kept tripping the breaker with just one mans tools running I wired my floor sander to the breaker panel I don't know if it was lack of power or the paint
buildup (the floors were painted) my floor sander would get hot and shut off two months before I spent $getting it rewired because of a job like that I couldn't see doing that againthat's why the company that did the other side of the house didn't come back or the other company that sanded a couple spots didn't come back I cant see giving him $I sanded the most screwed up part of the job there was little rooms upstairs and some steps I didn't t any money from him I just saved somebody time
