Ricks Auto Body & Paint Reviews (1)

Review: My auto insurance co. paid Rick's Autobody & Paintworks $10,361 dollars to repair my car. Rick had my car in his shop from 1/22/13 to 2/21/13 when I called him to see when will my car be ready. Mr. Rick's clerk tell me three days. I call the shop back in three days, and the clerk apologize and said that it's a part that was order that had not come in yet, and to Give them 2 to 3 more days. This went on until 3/08/13 I received a call from the shop saying that my car was ready, and to come and get it on 3/09/13. I arrived at the shop on 3/09/13 at 10am and the place was closed but there was 2 mechanics working on a car behind the close gate.I told them that I was there to pickup my car. They let me in and shows me my car. I takes a look at my car and there's a scratch on my rear door on the driver's side. But when I though about those days of buying tokens and chasing buses trying to get to work l was just glad to have my car back.but then I notice my inspection stickers were gone. I ask one of the mechanic where is my receipt, and he said that I would have to wait til Monday when the office is open. I was very angry as I was thinking how am I suppose to move my car without stickers. And then I though there's a Honda service shop just a few blocks away. I taken my car to Honda car service for inspection, and Honda's mechanic tell me that my car fail the inspection because my car had missing parts. The Honda mechanic gave me a printout list stating that all my cotter pins were missing, my left side shock is missing two mounting bolt, my cross bar missing, my stabilizer bar and stabilizer links are missing, and 3 lug nuts. The left front strut is not for my specific vehicle, the shock absorbers mounting bolts or mount is broken, the left front axle and trans seal is leaking oil, the left side CV boot leaking grease permitting contamination to brake caliper. The SRS light is lit on the dash, the tag light and third brake bulb light is out. I had taken my car back to Rick's repair shop on Monday 3/11/13 because the shop was close the day before.I said to Rick that he has taken the monies, and had taken parts out of my car. He started talking about how great the body work he has done.I told him that he is trying to rob me. Mr. Rick gave me a lame excuse saying that I was constantly calling him about my car so he gave it to me for the weekend.I told him that I had taken my car to the Honda service, and gave him the printout list and told him to fix my car. Mr. Rick told me that he will have my car done in two days, well, two days became weeks. On 4/01/13 Mr. Rick's clerk called me and said that my car was ready and I can come and pick it up. When I arrived Mr. Rick wasn't there. It was a lady that greeted me, and she apologize for all the grief that they cause me, and then she tell me that I was her best costumer. The lady shows me my car, and I said to her what about my inspection stickers, and she said they expired, and I said that they had my car for a while and had cost me a lot of money out of my pocket. She said the inspection cost $80.00, and I said that I am taken my car to Honda, and she said wait a minute, and let her step out of the office and talk to somebody. She come back and said that she call a place for me to take my car and I don't have to pay for the inspection, and I said ok. When I left Rick's shop I went straight to Honda. My car fail the inspection again, and the printout shows that Rick had my car sitting in his shop from 3/11/13 to 4/01/13 and had not touch my car. I called Rick's shop and told his clerk (cause Rick was not there she said ) that they had more than enough money and time to fix my car, and the monies that the insurance has giving was more than enough to buy a car that is in better condition that my car is in now. I told them that I want Honda to fix my car, and I want them to pay for it.I told them that this was the least that they could do. I told them that they owe me more then that by dragging me and my family through these 3 months of spending monies and putting us deeper in dept. I told him to pay Honda to fix my car, and I'll take the lost, but if he don't then I'll be force to take him to court, and than I want everything he owes me. Mr. Rick agree to pay,and ask me can he take my car to a Honda shop that he has an account with. I said no because I can't trust him. So Mr.Rick ask can he send the parts from hisHonda dealer to my Honda service, and I said no again, and he said the parts are brand new and in the box,and he said that my Honda can inspect it. Then he said please man it will save him a few 100 dollars. I ask how soon will my honda had the parts, and Mr. Rick said the next day or two. Its been more than two weeks. I have been trying to get some help with this but I really don't have the money to do so.Desired Settlement: My car repair, and the monies I lost while the repair was wasting me and my family's time.
