On the morning of Monday November 16, 2015 the
homeowner called to request a service call due to his furnace not working. We
were able to give him a time frame for same day service between 11 and 1.
Our technician arrived at 11:22...

am, diagnosed the problem as
a bad inducer assembly. Technician let the homeowner know that he would have to
get a quote together for repair and would call them back with cost. Technician
departed at 11:46 am and collected payment for invoice #[redacted] for $72.00
The homeowner was called that same afternoon and quoted
repair cost for new inducer assembly, installed for $536.00 and we could return
on Tuesday November 17th between 9 and 11 to do said repair.
Homeowner said they would call us back to let us know if they wanted to move
forward with the repair. Homeowner did call back later that afternoon and
verbally approved repair cost and to take that Tuesday morning 9 to 11
appointment, if was still available. The appointment was confirmed.
On Tuesday November 17, 2015, the technician arrived at 9:24
a.m., they replaced the quoted inducer assembly, checked operation of gas
furnace and departed at 9:52 a.m. with invoice #[redacted] signed and paid in full
by the homeowner in the amount of $536.00.
After the technician had departed, homeowner called office
to inquire about the warranty on replaced part. He was informed that all
replaced parts at Rick’s Heating & Cooling have  a 1 year part and 1 year labor warranty and
no return trip charge in anything fails within the first 30 days. (Monday thru
Friday 8 to 5)
Rick’s Heating & Cooling Inc. is a flat rate service
provider. As a flat service provider all repair cost include the part and any miscellaneous
cost to retrieve part and labor provided to do the repair. Using a flat rate
for repairs is an industry standard. Again all replacement parts carry a
warranty of 1 year on part and 1 year of labor.
The fact that the homeowner called later on Tuesday November
17th to say they found the part online for a cost of $269.00 does
not have any bearing on the issue since the homeowner approved the cost of the
repair on November 16th. Attached are copies of both invoices.

The customer called for service on Monday January 11th. The technician arrived at the customer's home at 5:31 pm that same day. According to the service ticket, the unit was operating upon arrival. The tech inspected to ensure proper blower speed.  Also stated that the mobile home was poorly...

insulated. The technician's recommendation was to have the skirting insulated. The customer was only charged a $59.00 trip charge and nothing else. The customer signed the invoice and paid the technician. Technician departed at 5:45.
