Rick's Main Roofing, LTD Reviews (2)

On our contract dated June 19, 2015 for $2,040.00, it clearly states the work that we propose to do and indicates that there is no guarantee on repair work.  It does not state that if the leak continues we will go back and apply 2 additional coats at no charge.  Therefore, I stand by my belief that I do not owe the homeowner any additional work, but I do in fact still have a remaining unpaid balance of $70.00 from October 28, 2014.Respectfully,Richard T[redacted]

Review: I contracted Ricks Main Roofing to put a new roof on and fix our leak problem. We have spent over $16,000 and the issue is still not resolved. They fixed the roof, then said we needed new flashing which was an additional 2000 and then they said we needed our chimney sealed for another 2040. The guys came and were here for less than 2 hours and they charged us 2040 and the PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED. The owner RICK, promised me that he would seal it again and he is not living up to his promise. OVER A YEAR HAS GONE BY AND OUR ROOF IS STILL LEAKING. THIS COMPANY IS SO UNPROFESSIONAL. He had the nerve to send me a bill for an additional 90 dollars FOR WORK THAT WAS NEVER COMPLETED.Desired Settlement: finish the job that you said you would fix - stop the leaking - NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. WE HAVE SPENT OVER 16000 AND NOTHING HAS BEEN FIXED.

This is in reply to the email sent by your office ID#[redacted]. Please review the attached paperwork. On the contract dated 10/28/2014, before Mrs. [redacted] authorized us to do this work, I added in bold type that I would coat the chimney with 2 coats of water repellent at no extra charge. Please see in the attachment, a letter which explains what can happen with wet chimneys. On the contract dated 10/282014 the first payment was made on November 6th for $300.00. Please note all the memos written on the invoice. The second payment for the work was received almost a year latter on 7/31/2015, but there is still a balance of $70.00 that is due.On the contract dated 6/19/2015, we indicated again that the chimney may still leak due to other reasons and that there is no guarantee for this type of repair work. This is all explained in the letter mentioned prior. Everything was spelled out in our proposal/contracts and was explained to the customer verbally.I don't recall the exact date, but Mrs. [redacted], and I met with a mason contractor at her house and inspected the attic. The mason explained that what I had told her was correct. Please don't hesitate to contact our office if you have any further questions.Respectfully,Richard T[redacted]

In response to bullet point #1. RICKS ROOFING HAS NOT COME TO RESEAL THE CHIMNEY FOR THE SECOND TIME. I HAVE CALLED HIS OFFICE TWICE AND SENT EMAILS AND I HAVE NOT GOTTEN A REPLY OR CALL BACK WHICH IS WHY I CONTACTED THE Revdex.com IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

I am rejecting this response because:

You are outright lying now. You said you would come back and put a second coat for free if it was still leaking. You never put a second coat on. In fact, a quote you said to me" please don't make me come back and coat it again if it is not leaking". The first time it rained after you sealed it - it didn't leak. The second time it rained it leaked through the ceiling. I then contacted your office to let you know that you need to come back and seal it for a second time - what you PROMISED ME YOU WOULD DO. I called twice and sent an email and NO RESPONSE. All I am asking is that you make good on what you told me you would do- Come back and seal it for the second time. Your memory might be failing you - you should probably get that looked at - but you never sealed it for a second time.

You will get your "70.00" dollars when you come back and seal it for the SECOND TIME.
