Ricky came out at the end of March and gave me an estimate for monthly service and agreed to start in May after my current company worked out the payment for April. He also gave me an estimate to trim one palm in my back yard for $150.00, which seemed high to me, even more so when another company offer to trim 2 palms for $75. I went ahead with the palm trim and looked at is as an investment in my soon to be new lawn company. Well May comes.... 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th.... Nothing from Ricky.... So I call an leave a message... no return call... May 7th I called again and left a VM. He returned my call only to notify me that he could no longer be able to fulfill his commitment because he now has other customers that are close to each other and it is financially better that he stick to one area. I reminded him that he told me during the initial consult that he lived closed to me....8 mins away in the same zip code in fact, which is one of the reasons I selected him. He again stated that he has no other contract in my area and would not be able to pick me up as a client after he agreed to start in May. I had other estimates from other companies, however I selected Ricky's Pro Lawn. My Bad. He totally left me hanging... my grass is now very high. I am a diabetic surviving spouse of a solder KIA. I have no lawn mower. I feel that I have been completely taken advantage. He said that he provided professionalism just by returning my call and notifying me that he would not be able to follow through with his commitment a week into the month he was supposed to start. When I told him that I would be writing reviews and going to the Revdex.com he then started to say that he would mow my lawn for the month and find me someone else. I do not want him anywhere near me or my property at this point. You don't tell a customer that you would be there lawn service only to not follow through because someone better came along and not notify them.

Billing Adjustment I would like a refund of the difference from the one palm that he completed for me for 150.00. In addition, I would like a $140 service fee that I now have to pay another company to come mow my yard.
The first time we met, she was a lead given to me from ***. I gave my quote for the lawn, and she said she would think about it. As for the palm tree quote, she never disclosed that someone else had given her a lower price. If she had, I would have gladly worked out a deal. Also, it was a 30 foot palm tree that was completely overgrown with the limbs touching the ground. $150 was a fair price, considering I had a helper with me to compensate as well, and cover dumping cost and gas. But, again, if it was too high for her, I could have worked it out. The second time we met was after the job was completed. She expressed her satisfaction, and said "I'm pretty sure I'm gonna let the other lawn guys go, so we can start in May." I then gave her my business card so she could stay in contact with me. She never gave me her phone number, therefore had no way of contacting her. Since, I never heard back with a confirmation to start, I assumed she probably went with another company. The day she originally called me, I had an unusual amount of set backs/repairs, and was unable to get to my messages until late that night. When I returned her call the following day, I apologetically let her know that I was no longer available to service her property, she immediately got angry, yelled at me, and hung up before I had the chance to offer a solution. Despite that, I was more than willing to work it out. After she ignored my phone call, I decided to text her. I said in 3 different text that I would make it right by servicing her lawn until she found someone else. Her response was this: "No I will be giving you a bad review. At some point in April you knew that you were not going to start on my property after you agree to start in May and you did not let me know. You left a surviving widow of a vet Kia in Iraq hanging have scrambling to find a replacement. I had other estimates that were lower than you but I selected you. Poor business practice to take on other clients because it is better for you!!! And to top it all off I had to track you down to figure out what was going on you did not have the professionalisms to contact me prior to a week into may. In addition I will be reporting you to the Revdex.com." Once again, she never gave me her number, so I had no way of calling, and we never officially made any commitments. I wanted to help her out and avoid any bad reviews, so I texted her: "At a lower rate I can fully service your property until the right company steps in to take care of you...I understand your angry but you didn't let me finish or offer something in place of the inconvenience. I can even come today once I have finished my route to service your property, free of charge." All she said was that I was no longer allowed on her property. She never contacted me since then, never asked for a refund, or deal. She did, however, leave the bad reviews on two separate business pages, and reported me here as promised. Below, I have provided the screenshots as proof that I tried multiple times to offer her deals/free services, she refused them all, and never asked for a refund or any type of resolution.
