NOT TO MENTION PUTTING UP WITH THE SUB HUMAN CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IN ESSENCE TREATED ME LIKE I WAS AN ANIMAL....................AND IF I AM SUCH A NEW CUSTOMER PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY I HAVE THE EXACT SAME POLICY NUMBER THAT I HAVE HAD FOR THE LAST YEARS? WHY IS IT OK TO GOUGE A LONGSTANDING CUSTOMER FOR MORE THAN DOUBLE HIS ORIGINAL PREMIUM FOR A SIMPLE MISTAKE? THIS IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER BEEN WITNESS TOI WANT A RESOLUTION THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE A RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE JUST REITERATING NONSENSE LEGAL JARGON I WANT SOME COMPASSION AND I ALSO WANT A REDUCTION IN MY PREMIUM TO WHAT IT SHOULD BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rider re-examined the scooter and found impact damage that corroborated the customer's claim. The claim was paid.

Due to errors made by Rider's agent, Rider will be issuing a full refund. The complainant has been notified. Since it is a full refund, she will be uninsured for whatever period of time during which Rider was the only insurance placed on the vehicle. If a claim arose during that time...

period it will not be covered.

Rider will be mailing [redacted] two checks - one for $294.01 as pro rata reimbursement for his premium and the other for $7.00 as reimbursement for his policy fee. Both will be mailed on May 31.

Review: We purchased a motorcycle yrly policy from a Rider agent working in the dealership building, in [redacted] Insurance policy was purchased prior to the purchase of the motorcycle. 178.00 per year premium . Paid by debit card . 5/29/2015. Contacted by mail about a week later no DMV record. I corrected the names. Another week or so I decide to try to create an online account with Rider to see if the mistakes are corrected or not. They are not. I, in good faith, call the home office and speak with an agent to go line by line to correct the information. They have the motorcycle listed as a 2015 FJ 09. Corrected to FZ 09, I was then told the policy premium was now 1242.00 per year. The Rider agent working at the dealership had all the correct information to begin with, all information was entered by the agent at the shop. I checked with our other insurance agent about just adding this FZ to our existing policy on our other bikes. We chose to do this. I was told by Rider that they could not directly refund to our debit card that I would get this refund by mail. Today 7/21/2015 I called Rider to check to see what was going on with the refund. I was told that there was no refund that I still owed 19.48. (?). I did not expect a full 12 month refund, only a refund of about 163.00 for the remaining 11 months. Bike riders be aware if you purchase Rider insurance at a shop. I don't know what would really happen if you were to be in an accident and need the insurance. It might be tied up for a long time before paying. I believe that due to their errors that I am in good faith due this refund. We based the purchase of this motorcycle on what we were told was insurance price for this machine. I don't believe this was solely human error. I doubt that I am the only one this has or will happen to.Desired Settlement: For Rider insurance to just refund to me the 11 months of premium about 163.00. All this was no error that I made. I just tried to make sure all their information was correct so that there would be no problems in the event that if I would of had an accident that there would be no hold up's due to paperwork errors. I made my bike purchase based off what their agent sold me. Had I been given the correct information to begin with I would not have purchased Rider insurance and I probably would of purchased a different motorcycle.

Review: I would like to thank Rider Insurance for charging me a years worth of insurance for what I believed was full coverage on my 2013 Honda Ruckus. When I hit a pot hole and had an accident and totaled my Ruckus, (they determined it was a total loss) they refused to accept my claim. They stated that since I modified the Ruckus and lowered it and added after market parts, I was not covered since my ride was under 551cc's and I stressed the bike it became a mechanical failure, not the pothole I hit and the accident it caused. They had no problems collecting my payments over the year. They also stated that they covered up to $8,000 in accessories but that was a lie also. I find this practice to be fraudulent and deceiving. Thank you Rider for denying my claim and offering me false insurance. I switched to [redacted] and they will give me a policy to cover all my after market parts and the Tuckus itself from now on. And I actually saved money. So Rider you may think your done with me, we are just getting started!

Please look up my account or Call [redacted] in the NJ office ext [redacted] or his supervisor [redacted] and see how shady your company really is.

I wish I could give negative reviews everywhere. I will post this in plenty of social media sites and this site every day so everyone can see how shady your policy really is. I already started on your social media sites and mine.

Anyone with a bike under 551 cc's (especially mopeds) make sure you review your policy and make the switch!

My policy number is [redacted] My claim is [redacted] My next call is to the NJ Attorney General, The local news companies and the Revdex.com.

Aggravated, [redacted]Desired Settlement: Fix my motorcycle!

Review: I carried insurance with this vendor for a little over a year. Renewed on 8/27/2014, I had an accident on 9/26/2014 and they promptly cancelled my policy when the operator of the vehicle that was struck called to make a claim. I found out a few weeks later recovering in the hospital that the policy had been rescinded. For expired license. Never was the validity of licensure brought up. I had regained my license but since it was expired at time of renewal the entire claim and policy was tossed. I went back and printed out my web forms and and docs and nowhere was that statement found. Further they ran my license at time of renewal and informed me they would need to increase the rate by a 100 dollars. "For non prefered driver status".

Rider is shady, avoid them at all costs, I've since learned "deny" is the first level of claims.

Policy Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: Do what you say you'll do. You took my money to insure my bike.

Review: THIS COMPANY STATED A PRICE FOR RENEWAL AND WHEN I WENT TO PAY FOR THE RENEWAL THE PRICE QUOTED WAS NON EXISTENT AND A NEW RENEWAL WAS HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS MOREDesired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE THE ORIGINAL PRICE QUOTED TO BE HONORED

The "above-referenced date" was April 28, 2015. He failed to return the form or pay the premium until May 15, 2015, 17 days late. Therefore he was treated as a new customer, as is every Rider insured who waits that long after their renewal date to apply for coverage. He received the premium rate applicable for new customers.
