Rides 'N' Rods Auto Sales Reviews (10)

First response was October 6, 2015
This letter is in response to the complaint that you received against Rides N Rods Auto Sales, regarding the sale of one Green 2007 Ford Focus (ref. [redacted] purchased on 11/19/14. The customer...

made an agreed upon down payment and then two additional payments on 11/212/14.  Then we didn't hear from him until May 2015 when he came in asking where his car was.   We explained to him that we had been looking for him and the vehicle, as he was sevely past due in his payments. (over 90 days)He told us that he had abandoned the car when he got caught in a dry wash east of town in an isolated area.  When police responsed to his call, he was arrested for an outstanding warrant, o was in prisin from shortly after he purchased the vehicle for an undetermined time.
We were shocked about the whole story and didn't know where the vehicle was, but starting looking for it.  The vehicle was then located and brought back to the car lot.  The car had sustained substantial damage, and had been hidden under a tarp near where the abandoning by the customer took place.
Never-the-less, we explained to him that if the payments were brought current and he pay the repossession fee, that he could again take possession of the vehicle with the agreement to make payments until paid in full. He didn't respond to the request within the allotted time, so the vehicle was filed with the MVD as a repossession, for non payment and abandonment reasons.
For the record, he is lucky that we are not persueing him for the extensive damages done to the Focus costing us time and money to repair, including electrical wiring vandalism, scratches and other dents that were done while he had possession.  It is now apparent to us that her is a person that wanted something for nothing,, has a lack of respect for his contract, but doesn't take any responsibility for his behavior.  We feel that his complaint is without merit, and should be expunged from our record.  His misstatements to the Revdex.com are one-sided, and it it frustrating to see people abuse this venue.
Thank you for reading this for your consideration as to where the truth really lies.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear...

below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,[redacted]

Tell us why here...Rides N Rods Auto Sales has acted to protect our interest when there was no response regarding payment.  When we found out that he didn't know where the vehicle was, we located it and repossessed vehicle for non payment. We are not the entity that filed for Abandoned Vehicle as the complaintant has alledged.  Our understanding is that he left the vehicle on private property, and that person tried to file for an abandoned vehicle. End of story. Any grievance that this person has against us, is unwarranted.

I do not accept the response made by the business to resolve this complaint
