Ridge Top Exteriors, Inc. Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
My roof is only years old. I do not need a complete roof replacement. The roof only leaks where Ridge Top worked on it. All three places to be fixed are on the contract. The back and valley (southwest side of house, this is their term) are on the top of the contract. Yes they did come and fix the back, but now they will not fix the other two places. Ridge Top did not seal the shingles at the end the valley by the dormer. They just nailed down shingles. They did not complete their work with cement. As for galof cement. I was there and the foreman said "Are you sure you have enough in that can. The worker said " yes it's a quarter full". He had a one gallon can (1/full) and went up on the roof. I watched all that happened as they where at my house for only about minRidge Top worries about a one day call back. I have leaks for months nowWhen I said " not advantageous to me" I was already told times that they would not fix it. I said" I will take it up with the state because you just want to take away my warranty and that's not advantageous to me"That's when I put in complaints to consumer complaints (Wi.) and the Revdex.com. Ridge Tops contract (page 2) says years warranty but I was told it was years. ??

Ridge Top Exteriors was contacted by homeowner to replace shingles that blew off of roof.    A quote of $700.00 was given to the homeowner to replace the shingles that blew off of the roof.  Homeowner asked if Ridge Top could also install roofing cement to his chimney as a...

band-aid until a more permanent repair could be made.  Ridge Top agreed to do this for an additional $75.00 bringing the quote to $775.00. On June 2, 2015 Ridge Top Exteriors replaced the shingles and installed roofing cement to the chimney.  Ridge Top informed the homeowner that his roof was installed poorly which is why he was having leaks all over his roof.  Ridge Top also informed the homeowner that his chimney needed to be repair/rebuilt by a mason so a proper chimney flashing could be installed.  Photos were shown to the homeowner showing the poor condition of the roof and chimney. Upon completion of the work Ridge Top was contacted because homeowner’s roof was still leaking.  Ridge Top went out and added a second gallon of roofing cement to the homeowner’s chimney.  Other patches were done to the house to help prevent leaks.  These patches were done in areas that were not on the original contract.  Ridge Top reminded the homeowner that he needs a complete roof replacement. On January 8, 2016 homeowner called Ridge Top because his roof was leaking again.   At this point Ridge Top told homeowner that unless the shingles that Ridge Top installed blew off his leaks were not a warranty issue for Ridge Top.  Ridge Top reminded the homeowner that he needs a complete roof replacement. On January 14, 2016 Ridge Top returned to the homeowner’s house to discuss the new leak issues.    Homeowner complained about water coming in on the valley at the southwest facet of the roof.  Ridge Top was not contracted nor did they replace any shingles in this area of the roof.  All the shingles that Ridge Top installed were still intact and the homeowner did not mention any leaks around these areas.    On January 20, 2016 the homeowner spoke with Ridge Top and stated that we should warranty the chimney.  Ridge Top explained to the homeowner that we would not be coming out to do any further work on the chimney because it doesn’t matter how often we go on the roof with buckets of tar, until the homeowner has the chimney rebuilt he was going to continue to have leak issues because the chimney is in horrible condition.   On February 18, 2016 Ridge Top Exteriors was notified of the Revdex.com complaint the homeowner made about Ridge Top Exteriors.  Ridge Top Exteriors reached out homeowner to discuss issues and left a voice mail for the homeowner that went unreturned.  Ridge Top called again on February 21, 2016 and left another voicemail that went unreturned. On February 22, 2016 Ridge Top Exteriors reached the homeowner and requested a meeting to discuss the complaint face-to-face.  Homeowner agreed that Ridge Top could come over for a conversation.  While Ridge Top was driving to the homeowner’s house the homeowner called Ridge Top and informed them not to come over because he was waiting to hear from the state.  Ridge Top reiterated that they wanted to discuss the situation in person in an effort to reach a resolution that was fair to both parties.  Homeowner declined a meeting because he felt that it “would not be advantageous to me.”
