Gary, the owner, was referred to me by a local roofing supply company along with other local roofersAll roofers responded to my initial contact and provided cost estimatesTwo were within a few hundred dollars, while the other two were either substantially lower or higherA state wide roofer also provided a cost estimate which was within a few hundred dollars of the "median" cost estimatesI selected Ridgefield Roofing based upon its certification from the shingle manufacturer, years of experience in the trade, and interest in my projectAlso, and very importantly, Gary is fully licensed by the State of Connecticut, and has appropriate General Liability and Workman's comp insurance ( verified ) Note: not all roofers have thisWhat a pleasant surprise to see the owner on the roof working alongside his menNo nail guns, noisy air compressors, dumpsters or heavy delivery trucks on my propertyGary delivered the shingles, underlayments etc Debris was removed in his medium sized dump truck They used old fashioned hammers ! Gary, the owner, was referred to me by a local roofing supply company along with 3 other local roofers. All 4 roofers responded to my initial contact and provided cost estimates. Two were within a few hundred dollars, while the other two were either substantially lower or higher. A state wide roofer also provided a cost estimate which was within a few hundred dollars of the "median" cost estimates. I selected Ridgefield Roofing based upon its certification from the shingle manufacturer, years of experience in the trade, and interest in my project. Also, and very importantly, Gary is fully licensed by the State of Connecticut, and has appropriate General Liability and Workman's comp insurance ( verified ). Note: not all roofers have this.
What a pleasant surprise to see the owner on the roof working alongside his men. No nail guns, noisy air compressors, dumpsters or heavy delivery trucks on my property. Gary delivered the shingles, underlayments etc . Debris was removed in his medium sized dump truck . They used old fashioned hammers ! I have used Ridgefield Roofing for almost 30 years. They are the only roofers I have felt comfortable using. Their workmanship is excellent and their cost estimates is quiet comparable to other local roofers.
They are very customer consiousness and clean up the yard well. They are experience at spotting construction roofing and construction problems and are very competent on repairing them. They are honest, punctual hardworking and personable. I wish more local contractors were a good as these guy. No wonder that they are in such demand.
