The vehicle was not in the same shape it was when the vehicle was towed from our location As far as the evidence provided, when I went to the tow office to speak to them about the issue at hand, I showed them the repair invoice and also the part that was brokenI have attached pictures of bothThe repair invoice stating what the damages were caused byAnd also the part that was damaged during the tow itselfThe repair shop provided me with the part so that I could show the tow companyThe vehicle was in perfect condition before the tow itselfThe vehicle was not safe to drive after the towI have a witness to state what shape the vehicle was in before and afterA witness that came with me to pick up my vehicle from the impound lotThe damages were done by the tow truckWhen attaching the chains or hook to my vehicle, it was attached to the tire rod instead of to the control armAttaching the hook to the tire rod damaged the rod (bent it, as you can see in the photo) and caused my vehicle to be unsafe to driveWhen stated to the manager at the office, he stated that the tow guy was a veteran and had been doing this for yearsAs I explained to him that day, everyone makes mistakesEven veteransAnd this is a mistake I had to pay out of pocket forMoney I had to take away from bills that were dueCausing my bills to be lateI would like my money refundedIf a company makes the mistake to a vehicle, I would hope that they would honor their name and fix the mistake that was made.

Review: On Monday May 26, 2014 - Ridgeway Auto Center was called in to tow away my vehicle from a parked spot. They loaded it up on the flat bed and took it away. Prior to Ridgeway towing my vehicle, the vehicle was in prefect driving conditions. Once I picked up my vehicle from the impound lot with a witness, and started to drive it away - we heard a horrible noise coming from the front of the vehicle, and also noticed that the steering wheel was turning on its own. We stopped at the nearest gas station to look under the car - we noticed that the front wheels were turned inwards - no longer straight. I then took it straight to [redacted] and [redacted]. (A Car repair shop) The Vehicle was un-drivable. Once we got the vehicle in the shop for review - I went home until I received the call from the shop - stating what the issue was. They could not see me right away, but gave me an appointment time of 11am. When they called, the manager of the repair shop stated that the damage was a bent left inner tie rod. He then continued to state that it was caused by the towing company. When they hooked up my vehicle, instead of hooking the vehicle up by the control arm - they hooked the vehicle up by the inner tie rod, which cause the rod to bend. They wrote on the invoice what caused the damages, and also gave me the broken part to show the tow company as evidence. After Paying $303.36 and missing a day of work equaling $112 - I then went to the towing company and spoke to a man behind the desk. I told him what happened and explained that it was the tow company's fault for the damages. He then stated he would talk to the per[redacted] who towed my vehicle. He literally came back within 3-4 mins and stated that the person who towed my vehicle drove the vehicle onto the flat bed, so there was not pulling the vehicle up. I then called [redacted] and [redacted]'s back to explain what the tow company said. They stated once it is driven into the ramp, the tow company then straps the vehicle to the flat bed. When connecting the vehicle to the flat bed, they connected the chains to the tie rod instead of the control arm. [redacted] and [redacted]'s stated that they see this error and damages frequently. I then went back into the office to speak to the gentleman again. He continued to state that this was not their fault. I explained that the vehicle was in working condition before the tow. When I told him I took it to another shop for the repairs, he stated that he didn't trust the other shop. He claimed that the person who towed my vehicle is a veteran. I stated that everyone makes mistakes and no one is perfect. He stood by his statement, saying that these damages were not the tow companies fault.Desired Settlement: Due to the damages cause by Ridgeway Auto Center, I had to pay $303.36 to repair the tie rod. I would like this refunded to me, plus the $125 I paid to have the car towed. Total being refunded should be $428.36. The services provided were not completed and left my vehicle needing additional work done to fix the damages cause by Ridgeway Towing. My vehicle was in perfect working condition prior to Ridgeways Services. I have invoices, a written statement, and the damaged part as evidence that Ridgeway is reasonable for the damages. I had to spend money - I do not have - to fix the damages caused by Ridgeway, and also miss a day of work due to my vehicle being un-drivable. I tried to go to the company and speak to a manager to have this issue resolved, and they denied having any part of the damage. This is unaccepted and a poor way to run a company. As a Towing Company - you should have people working for you who do not make careless mistakes. But if a mistake is made, the company should do what it takes to resolve it with the customer and not blow them off, stating that they would not do anything.

June 23, 2014Dear Revdex.com Representative:We have investigated the complaint filed by this customer. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any evidence that we had anything to do with the damage she claims was done to her vehicle The vehicle was impounded on the order of [redacted] County Sheriffs Office (VA). The arresting officer and the tow truck driver made no notes or reports of noticeable damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was driven on and off the tow truck and then into [redacted] County's impound lot without any noticeable problems. The customer did not inform us of the complaint until after the damage was repaired. The complainant provided no evidence of the damage, no proof it had been towed to the repair shop, nor 3 statement from repair shop that the damage had anything to do us lowing the vehicle. If we had been responsible for the damage, we would have been glad to compensate her for a fair market price on the repairs. However, there needed to be some reasonable proof that we were at fault. If the customer is still unsatisfied with our answer, we would be glad to turn the claim into our insurance company and have a 3rd party agent review her claim.Sincerely,
