I am rejecting this response because:
The owner of Ridgewood Conractors has a very cleverly crafted and well rehearsed pitch that he gives to barn owners designed to engender trust and sympathy and ultimately convince them to sell him their barn AT NO TIME during his spiel does he ever mention needing a contract to proceed He gives a very specific timeline and chronology of future events, but DOES NOT say that he will be sending a contract or what that will entail In fact, after we came to the agreement, shook on it, and he left, my husband and I said that maybe we should have had him sign a contract, but we decided not to as he was working with Amish in our area and it is common in our community to keep your word on an agreement and a handshake sans a contract The very first time I heard Ridgewood Contractors mention the word contract was in response to my original complaint to the Revdex.com as a rescuing device for his poor choices I decided to confer with my Amish neighbor, Ben, who originally referred Ridgewood Contractors to us We compared notes and the canned speech was identical He never mentioned sending a contract to my neighbor either As far as us removing he contents of our barn early, we told him that we both worked full time and it would take us quite awhile to get it emptied to his specifications I also sent him an email stating that we were going to start emptying the barn upon seeing his insurance and at that time he did not suggest waiting for said contract or that his originally proposed timeline was subject to change I am now even more disappointed with his lack of integrity and misrepresentation of our conversation

Hello,In regards to complaint: ***. *** ***RE: Barn deconstructionI spoke to the barn owner, stated I was in the area frequently to deconstruct barns.I have, and showed the owner my commercial insurance and BWC coverage, which is required to complete a contract.I told the owner I
would like to deconstruct the barn for $2500.00.Verbally we agreed on this amount,(2500.00), contingent upon worker crews in the neighborhood and also pending a final agreement, signed contract between my company and owner. No contract was ever finalized with the owner, as delays from local workers and my company were undetermined.Owner decided to remove items from barn pending final contract signed and monies exchanged between Ridgewood Contracting and ownerBarn contents/items if removed, is owner's responsibility, with the contingency of a final signed contract, monies givenThis was not doneIt's very hard to determine exact starting dates of deconstruction of a barn as it depends on various factors, ie, weather, available local labor, and equipment transportationBarn contents removal, (by owner), could of taken place following a signed contract and monies.Owner assumed contract was completed and stating now, that they removed barn contents/items and accuses our company of causing damages and liability for a non-existent contract. No contract or monies exchanged
