On Friday Feb. 26th, 2015 our customer returns department received 1/2 pair(right) of a Riedell model #33 Diamond size 2 1/2 wide ice skate from our dealer, [redacted] in Franklin, TN. We are assuming this is the...
skate that [redacted] refers to in her complaint. The skate was returned to us for inspection and repair as the sole was coming loose from upper. The skate was repaired with a new sole bottom attached to the upper and completed on Thursday March 3. The skate was sent back to [redacted] on Friday March 4th, 2014 via UPS ground service delivery. According to the UPS tracking information, the package was delivered and received on Thursday March 10, 2015.
7 calendar days elapsed from the date we received the product on Feb. 26 to the time we repaired the product and shipped it back on March 4th.
The scheduled UPS transit time from Minnesota to Tennessee is 3 - 4 days for regular delivery.
Our product warranty guarantees all Riedell skating boots to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 180 days from date of purchase. Should any Riedell skates or boots appear to be defective, they should be returned to the retail dealer from whom the product was purchased with a proof of purchase. The retail dealer must request a return authorization number and then send the skates or skating boots back to Riedell for examination. If the skates appear to be defective under the terms of this warranty, the product will be repaired or replaced as determined by Riedell Shoes, Inc.
Product failure, which in the opinion of Riedell Shoes, Inc. was due to improper fit, accident, abuse, neglector normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty. In no event will Riedell Shoes, Inc. be responsible for the repair, replacement or consequential damages for the above mentioned causes.
We believe we processed this product return and warranty claim in a professional and business like manner.
Ms. [redacted] claims in her complaint that she spent $350.00 for this Riedell boot/blade ice skate set. please be advised the MSRP for this model currently is $165.00.
