Right Meow Marketing Reviews (1)

Review: I hired [redacted] of Right Meow Marketing to redesign my website. I provided specific direction on what I was looking for and the level of communication I expected while he was working on my website. I provided him with the appropriate passwords and permissions to my website itself and my hosting company ([redacted].)I was very dissatisfied with his work and level of communication. On the day he installed my website, he did half of the job, changed the password and was unavailable for 12 hours to talk with me, leaving me with a mess of a website and no way to log in and make adjustments. Bottom line, the work was sloppy and slow, and the follow on support was non existent. [redacted] and I have a difference of opinion on billing. It's my position he owes me a refund. It's his position that I need to pay for the entire website even though he left me in the lurch and stopped working on it. I've had to hire another designer to fix the mess that my site is in, involving extra money and extra wait time for me. But that's not the issue. When I terminated my business relationship with [redacted], I changed my passwords and asked him not to access my accounts. Unbeknownst to me, he'd created separate profiles in both my website and my hosting company, making himself the administrator. He limited my permissions on my own site, basically holding me hostage. I never gave him permission to establish these accounts. The arrangement was for him to work on my website only and then get out. There was never an expectation that his presence inside my websites would endure and he was not honest with me about this. By creating this level of access, he was able to override any changes I'd made to try and keep my data protected.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to me of $350.00. I didn't get the services/product that was agreed to. Aside from that, I want my experience documented so that anyone who might choose to consider Right Meow Marketing for website design or other service will know that his practices aren't above board. I don't feel my data is safe online because of my experience with [redacted].

To: Revdex.comSubject: Complaint ID: [redacted] & [redacted]Dear Representative of the Revdex.comI would first like to acknowledge and thank the Revdex.com in serving the American people for more than 100 years.Without PrejudicePrima facie, the client, is making a serious allegation and misrepresentation. On behalf of RMM, a local smallbusiness which assists entrepreneurs and others of the like to bring their internet presence to the world, I wouldlike to acknowledge these allegations and misrepresentations as perjurious, egregious, and unbelievable. Aforsworn accusation this strong is nauseating and adds insult to my injury (to be cliche). The allegations beingthe insult; my injury, not getting paid for my services rendered (Owes me $350). That being said, I take a strongexception to any breach in the quality of our standards at RMM. As much as I would love to sympathize with#Customer, as she was a client of mine (And I have a fiduciary respect for my clients), her allegations aren't justa distortion of the truth but a false invention. Before going live I made the client a demo site, located at [redacted] (password: [redacted]). She wassatisfied with the demo and told me to transfer it over. (Note: the demo is missing some photos which were froma databasing issue, from the previous web designer, which I fixed the same day the site migrated over). Althoughshe was fine with it on the demo site, she started having a dander about little aspects of the site. I workeddiligently to solve these small issues. Most of the conversation after that were about her not being able to figureout how to do things, where I would then explain everything in screen shots and directions, and she wouldrespond with vague vexation. Teaching people how to use normal internet tasks is beyond the scope of a webdesigner, but I did it anyway because I wanted to make sure she was happy with her service.I would absolutely love to show you that the site I made her, which was fully functional and completed but shehired another web design firm, sans notification. The website I made has been replaced with a website that looksnearly identical. The demo shows you that it works and is functional, albeit the demo is in demo stage, not thecompleted one that is no longer there. Her complaint in its entirety is forswearing.E.G.1. Note: This is what her website looked like before:[redacted]2. The website demo I made her: [redacted] (password: [redacted])- I also worked on it more after this, incorporating newsletter and revisions, but you can see the website works and is fine. (Note, this is a demo siteand not the fully functioning site I created for her).3. Her site now: [redacted] which is essentially the same layout, concept, and the logoI created (Yes I have all the original files). Hence my design, I'm a web designer. What's funny is one of the lastemails was her asking me to send her logo that I created in larger formats, knowing she was going to replace me,and never telling me. Note: No images I have ever sent are explicitly MAC.[redacted] January 21. 2015 11 :38 AMTo: [redacted]Ra: Welcome [redacted]) Inbox Sent • RightMeowMarketlngCan you make the switch tomorrow morning or late at night tonight?See more [redacted]Custom Logos January 31 10:56 PM[redacted]to: [redacted] Inbox - RightMeowMarketingGraphicsPlease send copies of the graphicsyou used for my website in a version I can open with Windows - NOT ON AMAC. Let me know if there's something in your schedule that would prevent me from getting this ASAP. Thanks.[redacted]Accordingly, following an appropriately pre-supposed hypothesis, let's take a look at the complaint one allegationat a time.1. "I was very dissatisfied with his work and level of communication." -[redacted]She approved my demo site before I migrated it over. Considering I received zero phone calls from the client, and every email she ever sent was responded to, this is baseless. It would be difficult to post all the email history,as there are almost 100 emails sent back and forth in less than 2 weeks. My emails are well thought out withdirections, bullet points, and visual figures.2. "On the day he installed my website, he did half of the job, changed the password and was unavailable for 12hour to talk with me ... "-"Half of the job" She said the website was ready to migrate over. I did nothing else that day but work on thesite.-"Unavailable for 12 hours" she emailed me a 4:00am and I was working on the site when I woke up.-"Changed the password" - I had my own login as did she. I then sent her the respective login that day:[redacted] January 22, 2015 4:01 AMTo: [redacted] Cc: [redacted]'s Website [redacted] Inbox-RightMeowMarketingI was up all night fixing the multitude of errors on her original site. I would get into this but its very involved, technical and acronym-laden.3. "When I terminated my relationship with #myname, l changed my passwords and asked him not to accessmy account"The client never communicated to me that she terminated her relationship with me.What she is erroneously referring to is that I logged in, like I normally do with my own login and my ownpassword, because I saw there was something odd with the website and thought there was a problem. Turns outshe got a new web design company and never notified me. I immediately sent her an invoice as I figured shewasn't going to pay me. Unfortunately my suspicions were right and she did not pay me. She never explicitly orimplicitly or in any way told me not to access her account until after I realized she switched web designers andsent her an invoice for the final payment. Taking our final emails into consideration, I did everything I needed todo and she no longer had any requests. Furthermore, the last four emails were from me to her, no response.[redacted] January 16, 2015 12:38 PMTo: [redacted]RE: Welcome to [redacted]! Inbox-RightMeowMarketing([redacted])I can't during that time ... that's 4 for me and I have a meeting and then my "commute" home.Let me re-send you what I've sent to you, just to make sure, but short answer- yes, I likethe layout and I like the header, although it wasn't the header I picked. I will blame [redacted] forthat one. I do like what you did but I want my tagline and the "est 2014" in there. I'll re-sendthe email.[redacted]See More from [redacted] January 16, 2015 11:45 AMTo: [redacted] Bcc: [redacted]Re: Welcome to [redacted]l Sent - RightMeowMarketing ([redacted])Oh okay. Can I give you a call around 2:00?[redacted]See More from [redacted] January 29, 2015 12:33 PMTo: [redacted]Stuff to FixHey [redacted]-My site see,s to be working but I'm not at full strength until we get the [redacted] problem solved and I'm able topost my blog on [redacted] without seeing something strange showing up. I'm not promoting like I normally do and my numbers are dipping because of it. I know you have explained the pinning and it worked for me briefly. But it does not work now. It does not workfor me and it needs to work for me. I need to be able to pin my own images from my own post and I need to be able to select any image from the post. It does not work for me now and while it works for some of the people I asked to test it, it does not work for everyone. Again, if it doesn't work for me in the way I'm used to then something is wrong that needs to be fixed.I also need some instructions on how to edit my newsletter. It is supposed to come out on Sunday and I needto edit it.Not sure why communication has fallen off on these last little things but they're pretty important to me.[redacted]Site is working fine as she says. I emailed her back showing her how there was no pinterest problem, and thateverything worked. I showed her with screenshots, as shown below (these are screen shots from the email I senther). Pinterest works, Face book works. I had other people try it on different platforms and they all worked.About the newsletter, I set the whole thing up and made her a template, all she had to do was change the imagesand text to what she wanted but was unable to use [redacted] due to her computer illiteracy, impatience or both. Most of the newsletter was an RSS feed from her site, so she didn't even have to edit that, it was coded toautomatically take her newest articles and automatically input them in the email. I was willing to help her figureout her newsletter. I gave her directions and instead of providing me with specifics on what she didn'tunderstand, a tantrum would ensue. At no point did I tell her that I wasn't going to help her.Pinterest working:[redacted] loading weird: This is it, her featured image and META description exactly as it is on her page. This and all the screen shots are taken from emails that I have sent her.[redacted]You're not going to eat that, areyou? Idon't want any capcha on my site at all.-I removed this, per her request, but she gets angry about normal things, like a captcha. [redacted]As you can see, I sent her email directions from her own email. [redacted] January 22. 2015 8:18 PMTo: [redacted] Cc: [redacted] Details Inbox- rightMeowMarketingOh okay,So here's another solution:Go here: [redacted]Email: [redacted]Password:And then your email will load and from there I think you got it. [redacted] January 23, 2015 6:16 PMTo: [redacted]Mail Inbox - RightMeowMarketing[redacted]-Can you please update me ASAP on the status of my email? [redacted] iswhat I use for submissions and for revenue. As of right now, it doesn't work at all. This is a businessand being without email results in missed opportunities and makes me look unprofessional. Can you please advise me of what the holdup is? If you're waiting on something from me. let meknow what.-There was no hold up except for her not answering my question, "What email program do you use?"4. On the part of the site loading slow, the front page of the website I built use web optimized best practices. Sheis using the least expensive hosting plan on [redacted]. Her hosting coupled with high amounts of traffic causes asite to become slower. Instead of asking me how to make the site load faster, she avoided the conversation andinstead fired me without telling me that she fired me.5. Visible code: No. There was none. There was no mention of this to me until after I sent her the final invoiceand then the Revdex.com letter. In conclusion:This isn't a dispute at all, it's a personal smear campaign against me for reason of which I do not know. Theallegations are completely false and deplorable and I can't understand why she would report me to the Revdex.com, asthere are no grounds for this. I do not intend pursue any additional action and consider the matter resolvedpending a favorable response from the Revdex.com and no further communication or libelous accusations from thecustomer. This client has financially hurt my business in the following ways:1. Failure to pay half of the money she owes me.2. Libelously ruining my reputation with her "blog-friends" and her mom blog community.3. Reporting false claims to Revdex.com to further ruin my perfect reputation.4. Time which could have been used for service to my other clients.I just received ANOTHER complaint about the same thing from the same client .Complaint ID: [redacted]Clients says thats I have "hidden code" in 100 pages of her website linking back to my site. This is completelyfalse and would make no sense as this would only damage my own websites search ranking.I put a standard made by my company at the bottom in tiny text which if she was unhappy about, I would haveremoved upon her request. She obviously didn't have a problem and currently doesn't have a problem with her current web designer doingit.Copyright© 2015 ·[redacted]· Site design by [redacted]I appreciate the Revdex.com taking the time to read my response,[redacted]RMM
