I appreciate the refund of the $that was charged for the diagnosisBut the statement of Mis-Diagnosis would of been caught if came out to do repairsI had a Bad Feeling about the technician diagnosis and would of been for estimate of $to remove solar panels to find a open wire that would of been un-necessarythen making a statement of We did not install the system is not relevant because if you know Solar Install and Repair should not make a differenceIt is a Solar System with an Array of panels, wiring and inverter All the same from a residential system just small matter of few more panels and allAs for me having company that installed the system is FALSE*** *** Solar company bought the company that installed my system and had no information on my system and diagnosed it in just a few minutes and contacted the inverter manufacture for replacement and installed a Brand New Inverter at NO CHARGE To Me for the Removal and Installation of the InverterI gave Right Now Air who I contacted the Manager/Owner over weeks to correct and they did NOTHING and did not contact me at all further and hoped I would just Forget ItI do not recommend Right Now Air for any Solar Work to be done and this is a warning for anyone elseNever Again To Use Right Now Air for Solar

The part cost is not what we charge for the service, it's the overhead that determines the prices. Right Now Air runs on a 5%...

profit. Now you take price of gas, insurance, workers comp, office space advertising, general liability payroll, 25k$ van, stock all the parts, employ training and everything else it takes to come to your home or business to get you cooling, $427 is the price. I don't know how, as a business owner, you would think that we should only charge $20 for a repair?
About the billing, when the call was placed, no mention of billing was asked for. We never bill out unless you set up an account. 99% of the businesses pay when repairs are done.
In regards to the words "he then demanded that my employee pay him." Your employees demand payment also, every time someone wants to buy one of your cigars. The tech told her what the price was and she was talking with the other employee, they were going to pay cash but she replied do we take credit card.
The invoice stated that unit is very dirty and in bad shape and the tech recommended replacing or maintenance. If you had a preseason maintenance for your system, that part could have be tested and replaced at a discount. If you would like to replace the system we will put the repairs towards new system.
My resolution would be to get a star maintenance program and I will honor the discounted price on that repair that would have come with it.
Did you know 98% of all the demand service we do, is a result of not having any maintenance done preseason? That's why systems fail when it's hot or cold. You have to take care of you system!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
What a line of you know what. Seriously, $388 for a 20 part and you call that a Mark up? I'll do the math for you. It's a 94% markup. Absurd by any standard. That's why you charge $89 for the service. This is plain and simply a rip off. Had I been there, this would never have happened. Also, feel that they should refund the $298 because they never gave an estimate, which by law they are required to do. Have them produce this estimate. They can't because they never gave one. They just replaced the part and charged an absurd price. Again, I demand a refund of $298.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/06/24) */
If the owner would like we will come and remove the part we installed from his system. We will refund the price of the part, but not the diagnostic fee of $89, as we did let them know what was wrong, which is what the diagnostic fee was charged for. We will not change the price we charged for the repair, that is our regular price.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2014/06/25) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Really, come remove the part and refund the $. That is not acceptable, as you will render my ac inoperable. All I am asking is for you to charge a reasonable amount for the part. I stand by my original demand. Refund the excessive amount you have charged for this $20 part.
