Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/04/08) */
CUSTOMER CALLED IN ON MARCH 30, UPSET THAT A CLAIM WAS DENIED DUE TO MODIFICATION ("22in" TIRES AND RIMS) I DID INFORM CUSTOMER THAT I WILL SEE IF WE CAN HELP HIM WITH ANY OF THE REPAIR COST(JUST TO MAKE HIM HAPPY, AND KEEP A
CUSTOMER)WHICH HE WAS OK WITHAFTER A FEW DAYS LATER(APRIL 7, 2016) I CALLED THE CUSTOMER BACK AND ADVISED HIM THAT NO HELP IS AVAILABLE DUE TO CLAIM BEING DENIEDCUSTOMER'S POLICY WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDED HIS MONEY THAT HAS BEEN PUT IN POLICY

Initial Business Response /* (4000, 11, 2015/05/19) */
the customer purchased the policy for her Toyota 4-Runner on 11/14/and paid the policy off in fullThe customer was on the phone with our agent for over minutesThe customer was walked through our web sit and was reviewing our
company and not only was she satisfied by what she read but was she stating how the complaints were not about us but some other companies out thereAfter hearing her payment options she is the one who decided to take advantage of the paid in full discountAfter agreeing to the purchase and providing her payment information she was transferred to our verification department, all information was verified everything from the estimated miles that she provided to the authorization of the payment and after the payment was ran she her self stated that she just activated the credit card she providedAll questions and concerns were answered by her agent and our verifier she herself stated she was glad to have her vehicle back under protection
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (4200, 13, 2015/05/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I called Right Shield myself today (5/19)After recalling several times I actually got a human being instead of just "please leave a message"He immediately said that he had just responded to the Revdex.com complaint and seemed to think that was all a done deal
It wasn't a long conversation (for once)Basically I said that I had just received a new policy dated 4/15/and I thought that it was strange that they re-issued a policy on the same car that they were so sure I had already purchased last FallI also mentioned that I had made it plain in my complaint that I wanted a full refundI never got the man's name, but he seemed convinced of the above response but seemed to be very confused when I mentioned I had a new policy that was dated 4/(I received it on 5/leaving me without the day objection clause)I also basically explained each step I had taken up to now to get my money returned and that I had not received anything in the mail before last FridayThis guy had information that no one had offered beforeHe looked back at the notes and seemed rather confusedAt first he started in with the first person I had spoken to when I returned from my trip who told me how to cancel the policy (a minphone call)I responded that I had done exactly as he had said to do to cancel the policy and had sent letters to different address's I could find for them and none of the letters had come back to me as "unable to deliver" or "no longer at this address"As I had received nothing from them at that point, I still didn't know there location
He seemed surprised to know that I had had other conversations of way over an hour each with a rep from their company before I got the Revdex.com involvedI explained that it was the same woman each time and it seemed we spent more time talking about her health (or lack of it) and each time I made it abundantly clear that I wanted a refundHe said something about her "reselling" the product?
He was fairly reasonable when I kept bringing him back to the original subject, the original conversation where I stated that I was medicated and couldn't enter into any contracts that would be legally bindingI mentioned that I couldn't have known the odometer reading as the car wasn't in the state at the time and that I never received anything from Right Shield in the mail until I received a new policy last Friday that was dated 4/15/He seemed to pause for a few minutes and said that it would probably be best if he listened to the original conversation and the subsequent conversations that were taped so he could be sure of the factsAt that point, the Revdex.com had nothing posted yet, because I checked before I called
His response to the Revdex.com above can't be correct eitherIt states that the sale transpired on 11/14/2014, however that was just the date the credit card charge went through, a date that I have freely told anyone and everyoneAfter reading the policy book I received last Friday, I found that I had remembered correctly that the first page in the policy was to be signed and returned with any incorrect information correctedI had never received anything from Right Shield until last Friday 5/15/So, now I have to wonder if they charged me for a second policy for the policy dated 4/15/2015? So far no charge has come through on that credit card indicating a second charge and I would hope that CHASE would deny another charge as I had just spoken to them again last Thursday 5/regarding the fraudulent charge and they had indicated that if I wanted to pursue the issue further, I still had a chance that they could do something to help but wanted the Revdex.com claim run it's course firstWhen I did look the company up on the internet, the first Revdex.com case I saw was from a year old woman! Does this company pray on people who aren't capable of legally entering into a contract? I also noted that they really weren't a company that I would ever consider doing business withI am knowledgeable and educated in business and lawI am careful who I do business with and I check them out completelyI had no reason to think that any contract had gone through with Right Shield
The rest of what is stated in the response from Right Shield sounds like something I may have said to anyone, "the only people who ever leave feedback are people that are very, very happy or very, very mad"That is how I view most reviews but in this industry I would doubt many people would leave any positive comments and that most of the comments would be negative ones, but justifiable negative commentsAs for the paying the contract in full, I may have opted for that as well based on the fact that I don't like debtI am making assumptions on these remarks based on how I have historically done things of this natureI do prefer to try and find the good rather than the bad in life
I do find several things in their reply suspect, I couldn't even begin to have guessed the mileage on the car at that point, I had absolutely no ideaI couldn't have even wagered a guessI know that the original conversation didn't take place on 11/14/2014, in earlier conversations with Right Shield I was told that they didn't put the charge through for days and had gone on that assumption all alongMy husband brought the SUV in question back from South Dakota at about mid-November, although neither of us remembers the exact dateBut when he did bring it back, we left to head back together to South Dakota and I still hadn't seen anything from Right ShieldRight Shield made claims that they were the company that had originally warrantied my car when I purchased it, yet so did other companies and to the best of my knowledge and after calling the dealer where I purchased the car to find out, Right Shield was not the company that had the original extended warrantyThey also implied that Right Shield was the only company that would be able to even give me the offer of an extended warranty because they had had the original warranty, also another mis-truth because of the dozens of other offers I had that were all telling me how awful Right Shield was and to spend some time researching it on the internetI had already done that and found that I would have never done business with them had I seen their company's stat's and record, so if I had looked at the site originally as they contend I just wouldn't have given them the time of day
But back to the original "sale", I explained to the man that I got a hold of this morning that I made it very clear in that original conversation that I was under the influence of some powerful, prescribed medicine and that if someone would just listen to the original tape they would hear that statement made over and over along with the statement that I wasn't competent to enter into any legally binding contract'sAt that point he did start listening, however I was sorry that I had even called if he had responded to the Revdex.com call, but I figured they weren't going to respond if they hadn't by nowThe conversation today actually seemed to get somewhere, he looked back at the notes and said that he was going to have to listen to everything again to get to the bottom line and he would return my call either this afternoon or tomorrow morningI told him that I was hard to catch which is why I had asked the Revdex.com to handle it by emailBut if he was truly going to make an effort the least I could do was give him an opportunity to respond so I also gave him my husband's cell number as we had planned to spend the day togetherIf he was going to listen to every conversation, that would take him hoursI also informed him of the calls to a woman and being as I didn't have her name, I identified her by some health info she had kept side tracking me off onThe conversation he describes above sounds way to fast and casual to me, but as I only took a couple notes and I was medicated I can't say if it is correct or notIt doesn't sound like anything I would ever do with the exception of trying to be polite, seeing the good in the situation and possibly even leaving credit card info if asked enough timesI never accused Right Shield of "hacking" my credit card, just that I had constantly expressed my amazement that they could have used the credit card when I know I was under medication and I told Johnathan Houston over and over that I wasn't legally able to enter into any contract and they had never sent anything to confirm the transaction, so I believed it was "dead in the water"
I hope to hear back from Right Shield at some point tomorrow as promised (if he really listened to those conversations in full it would take 5+ hours)Let us all hope he hears the truth and not just what he claims happened
