We were
contacted about this purchase and the item being incorrect by Mr
***. We made attempts to locate the piece that was needed from our
suppliers and other companies, but were unable to as it was no longer
available/discontinuedA complete refund was offered for
his purchase
price as well as a pre-paid UPS return label to cover shipping costs back to us
at our expenseMr *** informed us that he, during a private transaction
that Iron Pony was not involved in, sold some of his personal
merchandise and that the resolution we offered of complete refund for
the purchase price of the items was unacceptableTrying to identify another
way to resolve the situation, it was suggested that we could locate and quote an alternative selection
of parts/accessories that would work for the customer at a discount
The quotation of replacement/alternate items for the different setup was done
so promptly, and at a heavy discount/level resulting in no profit to our companyMr*** declined the offer of the parts at the discounted
priceMr*** created a "dispute" with *** in lieu of this
situation for $A UPS return label was issued and the item returned to
usAt this time the "dispute" case is being reviewed by ***,
which has placed the funds on holdA refund will be issued for the purchase price
once *** closes this dispute in the amount of $99.99, however we are
currently unable to act upon this while this process is ongoing
Iron Pony
is not part of any personal transaction that the customer made with another
partyWe have made many attempts to rectify this situationA full refund for
the purchase price was agreed upon through the *** dispute process of
$99.99, reimbursement of additional funds was not discussed

refund. We chose to let the customer keep his original purchase.

I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response because, I don't believe it is factual, or that they are taking responsibility for the situation they caused.  I did complete a separate transaction with another individual in which I sold my equipment based on my purchase of equipment through Iron Pony, which they have an obligation to fulfill.  The equipment that they can provide me is actually less expensive than the normal price of what I paid for, but they're trying to charge me $337.28 more for the alternate items which I feel are actually a downgrade from what I purchased.  Additionally, the $437.27 that Iron Pony wants to charge me for the alternate parts is significantly more expensive than I can purchase the same items from other sellers for.  As a result, I don't believe that they are offering to sell me these new parts at no profit to them, nor do I believe that matters.  They misrepresented what they sold me and I feel they need to provide an alternative solution.  Whether it was an honest mistake or not, it was still their mistake and not mine.
