My 19 year old daughter inquired if they would be able to finance her on a vehicle there due to poor credit. She told them she had $1000 cash to put down. They asked for the cash to “show the bank she was serious” without her ever test driving the vehicle to decide if she wanted it or not. Upon requesting her money back 20 minutes later they refused to give it to her telling her they needed to hold it. I went the next day to retrieve her money and was told the money was no longer there and that corporate would send a check in about a week. Now we have no down payment money to go find her a car elsewhere. When I asked for the corporate number I was given a wrong number. When I found the number on my own and confronted the manager he just looked away.

I am rejecting this response because:Just want to clarify a few things on their response. First my daughter (Kiley) did not leave a deposit because she was never able to test drive any vehicle. She showed them the $1000 cash and they put it with a credit application she had filed out but she requested it back within 20 minutes of giving it to them once she realized she would not be able to test drive that day. Second the police were called at my request and not to remove me from the property. Officer *** (badge ***) responded and was very vocal to the fact that they never should have taken her money but said it was now a civil matter and out of his hands. Officer L then gave me his contact info and said that if we were to pursue legal action he would be more than happy to show up on our behalf. Third we gave them the correct address to send the check and have signed copy of the change and check was still sent to wrong address. We finally received refund over 2 weeks later.
