Review: Riley Mazda sold me a certified Mazda and knowingly did not disclose the vehicle was involved in an accident. They did not disclose the CarFax, which indicated an a accident. The sales manager [redacted] admitted he knew and his salesman had knowledge on the accident.Desired Settlement: Total disclosure and warranty the body work on the car. Monetary refund for the depreciation of the vehicle due to the accident.

Response:

To Whom it may concern-

Mr. Matthew was clearly made aware of both Auto Check and Carfax as he had copies of both.

He was not happy with the purchase of the Mazda.

In an effort to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction Mr. Matthew was given the opportunity to return the Mazda and take back his Honda.

He accepted.

In our opinion there is no longer any issue to dispute. Mr. Matthew's resolution to his intial concern was for Riley Mazda to refund him $1,000. I feel we did him better by canceling his purchase.

If you have any furhter questions or concerns I can be reached at ###-###-####, or [email protected]

Attention Revdex.com

I would like to respond to [redacted]'s request to remove this complaint. Before purchasing the vehicle in question, I requested a Carfax from the salesman , Jonathan Ochsner. He said Riley Mazda did not use Carfax but used Autocheck because it was more detailed check. After I purchased the vehicle I found the Carfax report in the paperwork the dealership provided with the Certified Mazda folder. My first contact with Curtis, sales manager, was about this issue. He knowingly admitted knowledge of the Carfax and that the vehicle was in an accident. Since that time I have returned this vehicle and Riley Mazda has returned my vehicle to me.

My ongoing issue is this type of business practice. I feel the complaint should stay up so other potential customer can be aware of this issue.

Sincerely

Wm Douglas Matthew

Review: I discovered a 2016 [redacted] as a newly listed item on [redacted].com stock number [redacted] and VIN number [redacted] for the price of $21,920. I verified that the car was also listed directly on the dealer's webpage. I called the business to offer to buy the car and drive to [redacted]. The salesman told me that the car had damage to it. I asked what kind of damage and why damage was not advertised in the description. I offered to drive to take a look at it and he said "You can't it sold and it takes time to come off the internet." I asked when it sold and he said "three days ago." However this is under newly listed online, so that does not make sense.

I asked to speak to a manager who said "The car has sold and I'm not answering any further questions."Desired Settlement: I would like proof that that specific car of the model number above was in fact sold prior to our conversation at 5:29 pm on 6/18/15.

If it hasn't been sold then I would like to purchase the vehicle for the advertised price.

According to the state of [redacted] in regards to motor vehicles:

"(b) Advertising of motor vehicles

Scope: The following advertising regulations shall apply to any advertisement published,

delivered, broadcast or circulated within the State of [redacted]:

(1) It shall be an unfair or deceptive act or practice for a new car dealer or used car dealer

to fail to sell or lease, or refuse to sell or lease, a motor vehicle in accordance with any

terms or conditions which the dealer has advertised, including, but not limited to, the

advertised price. "
