ordered dining room to be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks, delayed to aug 15 then sept 15. Requested refund based on consumer rights more than 30 days late.
On June 8, ordered a dining room *** including delivery and set up, paid for by visa June 9, 2019. ***. Cost 3390.00 including tax. My husband was with me when we were told it would be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. At the time we voiced our hope that it would be three weeks as we were expecting company from Britain on the July 1, holiday. On or about the middle of July, I called *** and she told us delivery would be Aug 15as material was back ordered. I voiced by disappointment as we were having more company. On or around the first of August, I called *** to ask if the material had arrived for the manufacturer so that we would receive the set by August 15. She called me back to inform me that it was again delayed to Sept, 15. I immediately voiced my displeasure, reminded her she had not communicated with me about either of these delays, but that it was my contact that provided this info. I informed her that I would check with my daughter who is a lawyer in Ontario. On checking I found that the Consumer rights of Ontario states that if a consumer is not available after 30 days of a promised delivery date, that I could request a refund. On or around August 6, I called *** again to state that I wanted a refund. I then called the number ***which I believe was the owner *** number twice to request a refund. I left two voice mail messages, stating the consumer rights information. I have not received a phone call from *** in response. On August 7, I received a message from *** stating that she would call me August 8, to give me further information. She has never called back. As a result, I delivered a formal letter requesting that a refund be returned to my visa acct. I hand delivered the letter on August 9, 2019 to *** at the Tecumseh store and asked her to give it to ***.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of 3390.00 in cash ASAP.

I was surprised by a call from Riley's, that my order had been delivered to their arehouse and they could deliver it on Saturday, August 24th. It was delivered on that date and is satisfactory. Therefore I would like to withdraw my complaint.
