Review: On 9/**/11 [redacted] Home Improvement was contracted to install a new roof on home. ( rep., [redacted]) During recent rain conditions the roof has been discovered & found to leak heavily. This problem has caused severe damage to personal items in attic & to the ceiling in the room below the attic. According to my contract the roof has a "lifetime warranty shingles 10 year workenship." I have taken several pictures of the following: 1)rain pouring into the attic 2) the rain water dripping into the room below the attic 3) damage to ceiling in room below the attic 4)pieces of shingle found in the yard 5)damage done to items stored in the attic. On Tues. 11/**/13 I contacted [redacted] at ###-###-#### and left a message & home number with the answering service for [redacted]. On Weds. 11/**/13 I again contacted [redacted] and left a message & cell phone number with the answering service for [redacted]. To date there has been no response from [redacted] or any representative from Rimlet. Please note:During the time of installation of this roof I had contacted [redacted] several times expressing my concerns over the workmanship. I had expressed my concerns about the placement/layering/glueing of shingles sticking up, sealment around the roof pipe & the amount & length of nails used for installing the roof.Desired Settlement: I want someone from [redacted] Home Improvement to contact me & set up a time & date to repair this defective roof at no cost to me.

This roof is only approximately 2 years and 2 months old.

Please note that I have tried several times to email you directly, as per our conversation but all emails were returned undeliverable. The email you gave me was [redacted].

Please note we did [redacted] roof on 9/**/2011. She has stated she is having issues recently with regards to her roof. We have pictures if you need them.

After going on the roof and taking pictures, it appears that [redacted] had some type of work done on her roof after we install her new roof. You can see by the pictures there is cement on top of the roof we installed. It appears that she had some pointing done after we installed her new roof. It appears that when doing this additional work they were holding onto the antennae or due to the antennae being moved by winds that this cause a hole therefore causing the leak and the damage to the interior of the home. We explained this to [redacted] who did state she did have work done. We showed her the cement debris on her roof which we install, which clearly shows work was done after us.

We patched the hole for [redacted] and informed her this should fix her issues.

Please note, I "reject business response" because statements made in the letter from [redacted] are not absolute factual occurrences and are assumptions. Thereby, those type of statements would give [redacted] a reason to void the warranty on the roof. Also, the letter from [redacted] did not include that further work is needed on my roof due to the workmanship done in 2011, as per [redacted] upon his inspection. On Tues. 12/**/13 I left a message for [redacted] at ###-###-#### for further review of this matter.
