Fraud and manipulation
RGCU defended a car dealer who refused me gap insurance. This credit union works with car dealers to gain profit by refusing gap insurance at the purchase point. I *specifically* requested gap and was denied. RGCU defended the right of the dealer to refuse it. My car is totaled now and I refuse to pay the outstanding amount as Tyler promised me his “offer is so good if it’s totaled, you’ll get more money back.” Cheaters, con men, and liars at the expense of a customer. Stupidly I told Tyler I had just lost my child and he took advantage of that. Sick sick people. I know RGCU works with the dealers to make money.

Memember for 16 years
Well we did enjoy banking with Rio Grande CU but we fell short due to my husband losing his job and my son getting into a really bad accident... We had a large car payment and just could not afford to make it any longer we talked to some customer service reps and they were so rude to us we told them that we are going to surrender the truck and they just told us that they will lock all accounts... I have banked with RGCU like I said for almost 16 years and they act like there your family on the commercials but once you need help they want to hold your money ... Times get a little complicated sometimes no wonder there are so many homeless people the banks just want you to fail just when you need a little help..

We do apologize for the delay and miscommunication from our staff. We have discussed with our staff the inconvenience that their actions have caused our... member.MVD fees consist of the excise tax, registration, administration fee, transaction fee, MVD Express service fee, and taxes. These fees are for the plates and registration only. Mr. [redacted] was offered a temp tag but did not want to pay the additional $35. These are not credit union fees, they are MVD fees.Again, we apologize for the delay and the poor communication that Mr. [redacted] received. Rio Grande Credit Union

RGCU is willing to refund fees to this member We will try to contact member to determine the amount to be refunded and whether to deposit the funds into the account or mail a check.Mike A***VP of Operations

***, On 6/I reversed the fee for the member as a courtesy. As the member stated, she had enough money to cover her payment on 6/3, but her apartment complex did not pull her money until days later when she did not have the funds available. This was not a credit union
error, but in the name of member service, I reversed the fee. Chris S*** Vice President of Sales & Service MLO# 455729 P ###-###-#### l F ###-###-#### Rio Bravo Boulevard SElAlbuquerque NM 87105 ***

Our member opened her account with the Credit Union in 2012
and opted to have periodic overdraft protection on her account.  As part of the member account agreement and disclosures
a $25 fee is...

charged for each time we pay an overdraft.
Member’s mother opened an account with the Credit Union in
2003 and elected to add our member to her account as a joint owner.
On 6/27/15, member’s account was overdrawn $4.61 with a
$8.55 transaction; a $25.00 overdraft fee was applied.  On 7/13/15, member’s account was overdrawn
$37.60 with a $7.99 transaction; a $25.00 overdraft fee was applied.  On 7/2715, member’s account was overdrawn
$71.15 with a $8.55 transaction; a $25.00 overdraft fee was applied.  These transactions created an overall
negative balance of $96.15.
A statement was generated on 6/30/15 and sent to member alerting
her to the fact that her account was in the negative.  As a courtesy, the Credit Union attempted to
contact member and alert her to her negative account status on 7/28/15 and on
7/29/15; an email was also sent to her on 7/28/15.  We did not successfully make contact with our
member.  The account at this point was 32
days in a negative status.  Therefore,
the Credit Union utilized the right of offset and transferred $96.15 from the
account that our member is a joint owner on with her mother.
Our member called the Credit Union on 7/30/15 and reached a representative
from our Member Resource Center.  After
two telephone conversations our member was transferred to our Credit Relations
Department.  An officer attempted to
explain the situation however; our member was upset and eventually ended the
call.
Our
member was given an account agreement and disclosures which outlined our
overdraft protection service at the time of account opening.  Per our member’s desired settlement: we have
explained why the account was taken negative $96.15; why we offset funds from
another account of which our member is a joint owner to cover the negative
amount; the $75 in overdraft fees will not be reimbursed.

We have researched Ms. [redacted] complaint concerning her payoff. Unfortunately, it was difficult to determine who she spoke to for the payoff because we do not have an employee named Jessica. We also tested our system to ensure that it was calculating payoffs correctly and were unable to duplicate...

the information that Ms. [redacted] states she received. However, in order to resolve this issue, the Credit Union will credit the $60.18 to the loan and release the title.
