Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Regards, [redacted] I have several types of insurance and there is no deductible if processed correctlyIf Dr [redacted] 's Office had used the correct coding in a timely manner or corrected their error there would be no deductible However after year of back and for the with Dr [redacted] 's office they finally gave the correct codding but it was too lateI had to pay the amount myself and believe they are responsible[redacted]

Revdex.com 7007 Jefferson St NE Ste A Albuquerque, NM 87109 Revdex.com, In Response to complaint ID [redacted] Made by Mr. [redacted], it is a true fact that he came to our Office for clearance on his knee surgery and labs were drawn prior to appt for his pre-op clearance, we...

coded his labs accordingly to what we were seeing him for. Mr. [redacted] insurance applied it towards his deductible because they do not allow V codes. That is an insurance decision not a medical decision. Mr [redacted] called in on these labs on 05/01/2015 and we called [redacted] and tried to find out why labs were not covered they state it insurance state not medically necessity with diagnosis. At this time I tried to send medical notes and ask that other diagnosis be added to the labs because they were also done on his pre-op visit. Unfortunetly I sent in the wrong notes for date of service. Mr [redacted] called in and I spoke with him explained I would send correct notes and I did and now it was a timely filing issue the claim did not pay with additional information because claim was a year old.Mr [redacted] states he received bill from [redacted] 6 months after the date of service, but his initial call to my office was 05/07/2015 which was 9 months after the date of service.Mr. [redacted] states that the lab was improperly coded this is incorrect we used diagnosis code V72.63 Pre-procedural laboratory examination. Which I have attached.I worked on this claim with Mr. [redacted] to try to get it paid by adding his other diagnosis and sending in medical records to [redacted] so I feel I did responded in a timely manner and handled this claim to best of my knowledge. I do not believe that we should refund Mr [redacted] our coding was correct. We received his initial call on 05/07/2015 and l left message on 06/11/2015 because I sent letter to [redacted] with attached medial notes. I spoke to Mr [redacted] again on 06/23/2015 I assured him records were sent. I didn't hear back from him Mr. [redacted] until the end of July stating the claim again denied at this time I spoke to [redacted] and had to send them additional records which I did and I thought claim was paid until I received the letter from Revdex.com. I do not believe that this situation is negligence on Rio Grande's Part. Thank you[redacted]Billing Manager

I am rejecting this response because:
Regards,
[redacted]  Of course some of what they say is true but every time Rio Grande was contacted it took days or weeks to get a return call. They of course always had excuses. By this evasive action the issue was delayed over and over until my insurance wouldn't pay due to time restraints. The procedure was a simple pre-op and was coded improperly. It took months to correct and by this time was over the one year period to file. If they would return calls somewhat promptly the issue would have been resolved in a timely manner. I am sure Rio Grande is going to use V codes and other obscure terminology to absolve themselves but lets face facts. Dr. [redacted] ordered these tests for a pre-op visit, didn't use proper coding and Rio Grande dragged their feet until the time period elapsed for my insurance to pay the bill. They need to pay the bill and stop with excuses.[redacted]
