In response to the above case # I would like to start by acknowledging they we did in fact do the mvi on *** ***s vehicleHowever, there were no other charges incurred to Ms *** other than the MVI as the work quoted was deniedHer
husband/boyfriend came back within the next couple of days stating that he had gone elsewhere and was told that the work was not required and demanded the money back for the MVII explained to him that I could not refund the money for the MVI as the service was indeed performedI also stated that it could be possible that another mechanic may have missed or ignored issues that our mechanics may have foundI also offered for both him and *** to return the car to the garage and have us put their vehicle back on a hoist (free of charge) and come out with the mechanic to be shown on their vehicle what and why it failed inspectionThis offer was refused, however, the offer still remains if they choose to do soIf a mechanic discovers something is not in line with the code of MV...then we have no choice but to fail it..it really has nothing to do with dishonestyOur company stands behind our work and have nothing to hide...that is why the offer was made to physically show both of them the vehicle with the mechanic presentAs I stated, we would still be more than happy and willing to show the customers why there vehicle failed

Good Afternoon,

The customer account is accurate in regards to what happened. After making several attempts to contact the customer, I was getting left with a decision...

later in the day to whether to leave the customers vehicle apart or to replace it with the proper control. I usually never make a call to put a more expensive part on a customer's vehicle without authorization first. Unfortunately, I did not find out until later in the day ( a miscommunication on our part) that the old part could have been replaced. I apologize for any expense and inconvenience this may have caused. I have no issue with refunding the difference of $[redacted] and again would like to apologize.
