Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I Already had someone re-do the sink. They asked who installed it the first time, because it was very poorly installed. Someone who charges $125/hr for a service should be skilled in that trade. The re-install took half the time (that included taking it out and reinstalling it), and no drilling was required, it took 4 longer clips ($5) and the placement of caulking around the edge. If you are going to show up for a job, you should be prepared for that job. If you are expecting a homeowners wife to tell what to bring and how to install, I would not call that someone who is skilled in their trade. I can understand not knowing about longer clips. But caulking around the sink is pretty common. a good business owner starts a job and completes it correctly, they don't half do the job and when the owner calls them back say "well if it was my sink I would not want a gap". At this point I know you are not going to resolve the claim and I don't want to keep going back and forth as it really doesn't accomplish anything. I would just recommend that in the future you take pride in your work and doing a quality job. At first it may seem harder, but it pays off in the long run.

Countertop was not installed correctly when we arrived for our service call, thus the homeowners used/existing sink clamps would not work on front or back of sink, otherwise we would of finished securing sink to countertop. Told homeowner we have a policy that we do not cut/drill countertops for any...

purposes for obvious reasons, but if he were to get countertop ready for correct sink installation we would gladly come back and install remaining clips and caulk sink. We would waive our 1hr min and only charge him by how long it would take to finish job, most likely 15-30 minutes. This work would of taken this amount of time on our 1st visit and would of been charged anyway if countertops were installed correctly.
If drilling countertop was mentioned at time of origination of call I would of told homeowner that we do not drill countertops for any purpose that is left up to the countertop professionals. The existing sink was onsite for countertop professionals to look over so they could've of correctly installed. I have tried to remedy this with all fairness.
Ps- the homeowners wife decided we should not caulk sink until it was correctly intalled.

Review: My business hired Ripley's Plumbing Inc to remove our existing water heater and replace with a new one from his company. The job they performed at first was satisfactory until things started to go wrong with water heater and how it was installed. Jeremy the owner came out and looked at it and tried to fix the problem which he did not accomplish. The water heater was installed on Christmas day of 2012 and is still under warranty. Since the last time we say the owner of Ripley's Plumbing there have been numerous issues with his install and the water heater. We have tried to reach him and his company on several occasions, and he will not answer his phone or return or messages. We need the issues addressed and that is why we are reaching out to the local Revdex.com. We have never had an issue with a company that will not fix a job or service under warranty before and are not sure how to go about it? All we want is someone to look at the problems and fix what is wrong with the install and equipment. Ripley's Plumbing's lack of response to this issue we believe is very unprofessional and needs to be taken noticed.Desired Settlement: We would like the issues that are a problem with the install and equipment addressed since it is still under warranty.

Response:

I have no record of this work or invoice, the only invoice or work ever accomplished at [redacted]'s is invoice #[redacted] dated 11/6/12 for $262.71, we replaced a temperature and pressure valve on a water heater. I left a message for the owner the same day I talked with you and have not gotten any response. I need a invoice # or payment proof to verify that the work was indeed done by us. We as always appreciate what the Revdex.com is about and thank you for your time in this matter.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9584457, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

There must be some confusion in there office because I have invoices and cashed checks saying the opposite. Ripley plumbing the owner [redacted] replaced our entire water heater on December 25th 2012. Since then we have had almost $1000.00 in repairs and when the water goes down which it has on several occasions it costs us money internally and externally. The issue we are having with Ripley plumbing is that they will not return phone call messages for someone to fix what is under warranty. We started having issues with the water heater on Jan 20th 2012 not even an entire month after install. We called [redacted] and he came up to look at it, and that is all he did just looked at it. He left which we though he was getting something to repair it and to our amazement we have not seen or heard from him since. He and his company is very unprofessional and we are planning on taking this to court if it does not get resolved soon. I can send or fax invoices and cashed checks to the Revdex.com office if needed. Thank you for your help in trying to resolve this issue.

I set an appointment with Shiryl R[redacted]. 2-4pm the next day. I get off work at 2, have 2 phone calls telling me that she forgot to write down the time and then forgot it also. When she finally returned my call at 4:30 that afternoon, she said I would pay double if they showed up after 5 so we reset for 2-4 the next day. I wait til 4pm, no call, no show, so I call again. left 3 messages on 3 different phones for the business. She finally called me back only to tell me about being charged after 5. She said that if I had answered my phone when I was at work, they would have come over. She offered no apology for her incompetence and blamed me for not answering my phone when I was working. I made 6 phone calls to that business, never did anyone answer their phones. Needless to say , they were fired. Her customer service skills are non-existant. She was extremely rude to suggest it was my fault at all. She didn't even have communications with her service techs. Amazingly horrible experience.
