I received the letter late last night upon returning home from vacation with my family during the holidaysI hope I am not to late in my responseI installed the windows in the late 1990s as a subcontractor, the contractor was a friend of mine and he asked me to handle the windows while he worked on siding and roofing on the houseI ordered and paid the supplier in full for the windows and completed the installation with no problemsThe contractor friend of mine received payment from the customer but decided to not pay me the 6k for the windows and went on a lavish hunting trip in MontanaI was very young in the business then and it was devastating to my wife and ISince then we have done additional work for the family on a different home and everything went very wellThis past spring I received the request for the glass repairTo be honest it just brought back bad memoriesNone of this was the fault of the homeowner and I don't remember ever giving that impression to themI am sorry if I did because I really never thought that way about this matterI was slow to respond and when I did I explained my feelings and why I was slow to respond on a voice message then arrived at the homeowners house a few days later to measure the glass for replacementUpon arriving the homeowners daughter was home and she was very upset with meI had not said anything rude in my opinion, I was just being honestI was about to tell her the glass breakage part of the warranty had expired and it was going to cost around $but I feared mentioning that so I didn't and decided to absorb the cost myselfI left on fair terms that day and ordered the glassI received the glass after waiting weeks, that particular window manufacturing company is very bad at timely warranty response and I haven't bought from them in yearsAfter waiting so long I figured the customer was now going to be very very mad and I just didn't want to go back for another round of that I should have of course, it was a mistake not toI will cut a check for $to the customer today and mail it with a copy of this letterWe are not perfect but we try very hard in this small town to maintain a good reputationThis is my first encounter with Revdex.com and no offence I pray it be my lastI suppose I have learned a lesson in all of this, even after years of solid customer service you can never ignore a customer no matter what the prior circumstances may beSincerely, [redacted] Ripon Window & Door

I received the glass after waiting 12 weeks, that particular window manufacturing company is very bad at timely warranty response and I haven't bought from them in 17 years. After waiting so long I figured the customer was now going to be very very mad and I just didn't want to go back for another round of that.  I should have of course, it was a mistake not to. I will cut a check for $150 to the customer today and mail it with a copy of this letter. We are not perfect but we try very hard in this small town to maintain a good reputation. This is my first encounter with Revdex.com and no offence I pray it be my last.
