Review: [redacted] from RIS LLC helped me in refinancing my primary home, it took a while, it was painful but he managed to settle it after few months. This dispute is regarding rental home refinance with him.To refi my rental home, I initially started with [redacted] of [redacted](current lender), halfway through the process, [redacted] contacted me and said he can do better job and can settle sooner and same rate etc will apply and he sort of requested that I should allow him to earn my business so that he can build relationship with me and help me with other investments, along with he can help me NOT CLOSE my [redacted] HELOC account, whereas bank of [redacted] will not be able to. Anyway I signed him up, he ordered appraisal of house, I paid $675 which came too low 290k (expected value was 325K). this caused me to bring additional 60k to pay down heloc, [redacted] said I MUST CLOSE [redacted] to proceed with this loan, I disagreed, I called [redacted] and they told me I do not have to close [redacted], may have to pay down, which was OK with me. But [redacted] was adamant that NO ONE can do this refi without closing [redacted] HELOC. It so happened that I got a call from a lender and I told him the story, he said, NO NEED TO CLOSE [redacted], he can do everything at the same rate, I went ahead with the other company and settled on the loan just fine without closing [redacted]. But now [redacted] wants his brokerage fee of $4900 anyway plus other fees. Not sure why I have to PAY him to GO AGAINST ME and my interests, when he made FALSE statements and Wrong SUGGESTIONS and showed lack of knowledge and experience making me loose appraisal fee and $2000 in heloc settlement. I want him to say sorry to me and take back all his claims and in future not repeat.Desired Settlement: $5000 lost money and headache, withdraw all his claims, apologize, do not force clients to do something against their WILL, most important try to be accurate.

At this time, I have not been contacted by RIS, LLC regarding complaint ID [redacted] after you wrote to RIS. But he had mentioned on a phone call before I reported this issue to you that he will sue me and also mentioned since he has all my personal info like SSN, BANK ACCOUNT INFO, EMPLOYER INFO, he can do a lot of damage to me directly or indirectly, if I did not pay him what he wants.

I am really scared, I have to pay a lot of $$$ to an attorney for this phony claim.
