Like most who have had an experience with RISCO, I too am dissatisfied with the results.
I had an issues with one of my A/C zones. Prior to coming in I replaced my 5 button Dometic CCC key pad, all of the connectors in the network, Zone one and zone 3 control boards, PM on the Aqua Hot (as it is part of the Heat on the HVAC), all new Chassis and house batteries (6 total) this was to resolve any 12 volt issues, 110 breaker for zone 2 to make sure 110 power was good. I also gave them a write up of all the work I had done in troubleshooting so they would have a place to start.
They charged me $639.00 for troubleshooting all of the issue I had replaced. They also provided me a laundry list of parts I needed including all of the ones I just mentioned.
After careful checking and discussion I discovered the work suggested was horribly inflated and I questioned the honesty of the person making the suggestions.
Additionally, they wanted $1400.00 for an engine oil change...I paid $535.00 with Camping World and they did the generator as well.
They wanted 5 hours of labor at $177.00/hr to replace a controller that was just 4 screws...I replaced Zone 1 and Zone 3 at 15 minutes each.
I expressed my concern over this gouging and was given a lecture on my not so tactful approach.
Beware of this company, asked questions and do not prepay, as I had done, they will gouge you as well.

Review: I never would've heard of Risco if the sales manager from [redacted] RV didn't recommend them for body work. Unfortunately my experience is the same or worse than anyone has written already.

They have no scruples whatsoever when it comes to charging a customer for even the smallest of requests. Now I know they’re in business, I’m in business, but they wouldn’t know what the words “customer satisfaction” or “professionalism” or “courtesy” meant if it came up and bludgeoned them in the face.

For example, they charged me $49.50 to do a “battery check” as I was having problems with my house batteries. This was for 30 minutes of work. Acceptable? Okay, I’ll give them that one. But I was told that most dealers, expecting to the sale of quite expensive batteries would do the battery check gratis.

I notice that near the passenger seat a piece of trim was loose. Of course I asked them to check it and repair it. This review would’ve taken all of about 10 seconds. Instead I got charged for another half-hour to evaluate a loose piece of trim. Was it repaired, did they apply some adhesive, a new screw, nope.

How about this one? I noticed a small quarter size diameter opening when my rear slide was deployed. I asked them to check it. This apparently took 60 minutes and they charged me $100. Are you kidding me?! The slide takes all of 20 seconds to deploy and an additional 1 to 2 minutes to walk around and see the problem which was a lack of weather-stripping. An hour? This is just one example of the egregious approach they take when they have possession of your vehicle and they know based on all of the problems you’ve already had with them that once they deliver it to you; you will NEVER RETURN.

So they take every opportunity to gouge the customer for everything he’s got. After all, if you don’t pay you don’t get your vehicle.

Echoing others, steer clear if you don’t want to be ripped off.Desired Settlement: Refund of $500 which is a partial return of the $1,700 bill I just paid. They deserve to be paid for the actual time and effort deployed. NOT FOR THE PART MADE UP.
