Please except this email as our response to the complaint your office received from our resident [redacted] ***We have resolved the rent issue with Ms*** There was a mistake on our part as to the start date that her rent amount would increaseIf you need any other assistance is clearing up this matter, please contact me at [redacted] Ange Collier, HCCP, SCHM, NAHP-ERegional Property Manager

Thank you so much for opportunity to find resolution in the matter brought before us in the referenced claim id of ***
After initially learning of the Air Conditioning malfunction, Ambling Management contacted a professional heating and air company to repair the unit. After examining
the unit, it was determined that a new air handler was necessary to properly fix the air conditioning needs of this home. A temporary, portable air conditioning unit was placed in this home and information was communicated with management. Management quoted the repair and placed an order for the Air handler part needed to fix this system The part took approximately days to arrive on site. At this time, ** *** *** **r was contacted and scheduled to install the new air handler unit in this apartment. Upon the date scheduled to install, the contractor informed management that this air handler was not the correct unit and would not work-even though the information used to order the air handler was originally obtained from this company.
At that time, research began to find the correct air handler. This air handler was found on September 23rd and found out to be a special order part due to the difficulty in finding this exact part. When ordered on September 25th, the item was shown as backordered and indicated that it could be expected in 5-weeks.
Throughout this time, the portable AC unit has been in the apartment and the onsite management representative communicated said order information
The regional property manager communicated this information and offered this resident early release from lease agreement or transfer into another apartment by which the resident decided was not ideal at the time
The regional property manager offered a partial concession of rent for the inconvenience in August and September in the amount of $in understanding that management cannot control the speed by which the correct part will arrive. The resident agreed to the concession and decided to remain in the aforementioned apartment at this time.
It is our every intention to repair this air conditioning system when the applicable Air Handler arrives on site for us to install in her apartment home. The regional property manager will remain in communication with the resident to continue communication with regard to the delivery of the new Air Handler system and installation of said unit
Thank you again for allowing an opportunity to submit this response and as always we look to continue to communicate and maintain a positive management/client relationship with this resident along with all of our residents and business associates
Sincerely,
*** ***, Ambling Management Company
Regional Property Manager, Little Lotts Creek Apartments

I am rejecting this response because:
The portable AC unit provided is connected to vent through window in the master bedroom. This unit cools 1 ROOM out of an entire apartment not as it's worded in the company's response. This means that my 4 kids and I must spend most of our time in that room in order to stay cool. The portable unit was provided AFTER I questioned the property manager about some type of accommodation because at time she had not communicated to me...I continuously had to call her. Again, once I started to contact the business directly and got no response several times, I filed a complaint with Revdex.com.
[redacted] has been in contact with me since October 9th and we did come to an agreement on October 14th for the concession amount of $125 for the month of August and $200 for the month of September. The month of October's concession will be discussed at the end of the month due to the pending maintenance issue that may be resolved prior to the end of the month. So, to be clear...the concession for August & September are acceptable and I agree with those amounts.
I DO NOT agree with anything else that was said. The lack of communication was the initial reason I filed the complaint with Revdex.com in the first place. I was offered to be released from my lease early or transfer apartments on October 8th. I inquired about both options from the property manager at the beginning of September and was told it would not be possible. So the response is misleading and makes it sound as if I've had these options this entire time that my unit has been broken....THIS IS NOT TRUE. I am willing to be cooperative as I have been with the company BUT I will NOT allow a false statement about this situation nor will I be taken advantage of. I do thank them for their willingness to now correct this issue as soon as possible.
