We got together with the owner and trying to work it out.

Review: [redacted] was to perform a renovation project of a condominium unit in [redacted] in [redacted]. Work commenced with my deposit payment made in 12/2013 and was requested to be significantly complete by 3/**/2014 and fully complete and move-in ready by 6/**/2014. His last effort to perform work was in July 2014 after receiving 2nd installment and a portion of the 3rd/final installment. Between 9/2014 to present (6/**/2015) he does not take phone calls or return messages. I sought him out in person on 5/**/2015, locating him while he was working on another project in the complex. I requested he provide a date that he would be able to complete a portion of the remaining work. His proposed completion date was on 6/**/2015 and it was to include a basement slider door, shower doors and tile backsplash. As of 6/**/2015, he had not yet ordered the materials and no work had been performed. There is additional work remaining that still includes finish coat of paint, finish coat on floors, inspections and certificate of occupancy. At this point, my only conclusion is that he has abandoned the job.Desired Settlement: Complete the work to include finish coat of painting, finish coat on flooring, install shower doors (2), install shower enclosure (1), install basement sliding glass door, install kitchen backsplash, and install inlays on built-in cabinets.

Alternatively, allow me to obtain quotations to complete the work and adjust the contract price to allow me to obtain the completion services. At this time, it would require him to refund a portion of my payment, which is why I prefer to have him complete the work.
