We take this claim very seriously and we urge all of our customers to contact us directly with their concernsThis is how we can be made aware of any authentic issues, and can also have the opportunity to educate our customers about the qualities of our world class natural ingredients before they escalate an issue with baseless claimsRishi Tea adheres to very strict sourcing and processing practices, and is certified to numerous rigorous regulatory standards, which allow us to continuously deliver clean, safe products to our customersDuring our review of the customer's complaint, it was simple for us to determine that the "hairballs" found in the Masala Chai blend, "that looked old", are actually pieces of dry organic ginger, which often times can be fibrous after the process of cutting it down to the size we require for the blend Our Masala Chai is blended weekly fresh by local tea artisans in our Milwaukee based factoryFresh cut spices and tea leaves can also have a dusty appearance that are mainly tannish, grey, and blackThese are the basic colors of the dry mix blend and this appearance of coarse ground black pepper may lead this customer to assume or believe without facts or background logic that this blend is old or staleOur teas and Masala Chai have won numerous awards, and are the best in class in all markets around the world.Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact us, in order to arrange for a return of the product for a full evaluation to confirm our initial assessmentRishi Tea keeps detailed records of all returns and complaints, and we have not received any direct contact from the customer who filed this complaint, prior to receiving the notification from the Revdex.comWe are disappointed that the customer would go through the avenue of filing a formal business complaint without having gathered more information about the nature of the product, or without providing any evidence to the Revdex.com or Rishi Tea on which to base their claim Sincerely, [redacted] Rishi TeaPresident & CEO” [redacted] Compliance Supervisor

We have already been in touch with the customer, and are confident we have resolved the issuePlease confirm that you have received this. Dear Revdex.com, This complaint arose due to a transactional issue that occurred during the payment stage in our ecommerce ordering platformWhen discussing
with the customer, it was determined that the redundant charges were classified as “pending”, and that ultimately only one charge was madeThe difference of $has been refunded to the card that was charged, and we feel that this issue has been resolved with the customer. Best regards,Rishi Tea Thanks,Alex Wallace

our customers about the qualities of our world class natural ingredients before they escalate an issue with baseless claims. Rishi Tea adheres to very strict sourcing and processing practices, and is certified to numerous rigorous regulatory standards, which allow us to continuously deliver clean, safe products to our customers. During our review of the customer's complaint, it was simple for us to determine that the "hairballs" found in the Masala Chai blend, "that looked old", are actually pieces of dry organic ginger, which often times can be fibrous after the process of cutting it down to the size we require for the blend.  Our Masala Chai is blended weekly fresh by local tea artisans in our Milwaukee based factory. Fresh cut spices and tea leaves can also have a dusty appearance that are mainly tannish, grey, and black. These are the basic colors of the dry mix blend and this appearance of coarse ground black pepper may lead this customer to assume or believe without facts or background logic that this blend is old or stale. Our teas and Masala Chai have won numerous awards, and are the best in class in all markets around the world.
Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the customer to contact us, in order to arrange for a return of the product for a full evaluation to confirm our initial assessment. Rishi Tea keeps detailed records of all returns and complaints, and we have not received any direct contact from the customer who filed this complaint, prior to receiving the notification from the Revdex.com. We are disappointed that the customer would go through the avenue of filing a formal business complaint without having gathered more information about the nature of the product, or without providing any evidence to the Revdex.com or Rishi Tea on which to base their claim.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Reason I did not call Rishi is because they brush off customer complaints.  For example, I contacted Rishi about their “Novel Knit” tea bag made out of GMO corn.  They brushed it off as, “while their novel knit bag is made from GMO corn, the end-project is Non-GMO”.  We consumers are not ignorant.  There are many websites that scientifically prove the contrary that there is indeed traces of chemicals left after processing.  Based on their response, I purchased their loose leaf product.  I was so disgusted when I saw the product stuck together like “hair balls”.  I did not contact them since they have the tendency to brush off the consumer with a lame explanation. I thought the consumer should “be aware” of the quality of their teas.
