Rising Sun Air Reviews (4)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Since Rising Suns visit to my property, we have lost use of many electrical outlets, several of our electronics and appliances have burnt out, and we continue to be ignored when attempting to address who will be replacing our items. [redacted] sent a work order to service our AC unit, not to unplug/remove any breakers. I have verified through the AzROC that Rising Sun holds no license to do any electrical work. After seeing that the work needed to SAFELY put my AC in working order was over his abilities, a proper notice and licensed electrician should have been contacted. I now have 2 less televisions, a fried cooler unit, 1 fried box fan, and a broken washing machine (which nearly caught fire, filling 3 rooms in my house with smoke). If this business is refusing to replace my items, I will be seeking legal action and reporting this business to the AzROC.

I received a work order from [redacted] for a Air-conditioning problem on 5/16/14. I went to the property on 5/16/14 and checked the AC unit.  I found that the breakers in the breaker box were not working properly.  I told the tenant that I needed to either move the breakers for...

the AC to work or for the lights to work.  She told me she wanted the AC to be working.  I moved the breaker from the right side to the left side for the AC to work properly.

One of the legs coming from the house was not working.  I then told the tenant that I would have to call [redacted] to have them send an electrician to fix the breakers in the breaker box for her to have everything working properly.  While I was at the property, I called [redacted] and told them they needed to send an electrician to fix the breaker box.  The tenant was there when I called and [redacted] said they would get someone out there.

Before I left, I made sure the AC was working.  The next day the electrician put in a new transition and fixed the breaker box. Everything was working fine. I did the work that was assigned to me and when I left the property the AC was working which the tenant had wanted.

[redacted] can attest the work that I did for them.  If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to this address.

Sincerely,

[redacted] - Rising Sun Air, Inc.

In response to the complaint made by [redacted], I have talked to [redacted] and to the electrician that was sent over to the property. I was informed that I did nothing wrong at the property and that I did exactly what I was sent over there to do.  The electrician had said that there was a transition in the breaker box that was missing that caused the electrical problem.  All I did was reset the breaker for the AC, which is acceptable and part of the Air-conditioning work and does not require an electrician license.

When I arrived at the property, the AC was not working due to the breaker in the breaker box.  I reset the breaker ( part of the work done by a licensed Air- conditioning contractor).  I then went into the house and checked the thermostat and the AC vents and both were working properly.  I did not see any smoke or smell any smoke that the tenant had wrote in her letter.  [redacted] started yelling at me and my tech that her portable AC was not working now and that there was a problem with the electrical outlets.  I immediately called [redacted] and told them that the tenant was upset and needed an electrician to come out and check the electrical outlets.  I was told by [redacted] that they would send out an electrician and that my job was done.

I am sorry for any inconvenience that was caused to the tenant, but I responded in appropriate time from getting the work order from [redacted] and fixing the AC for the tenant.  I had an electrician sent out for the tenant and they responded in appropriate time to fix the matter also.

In my defense, the breaker that I reset would not cause all the events that [redacted] proclaimed in her letter.

Sincerely,

[redacted],

Rising Sun Air, Inc.

Review: Rising Sun Air is a contractor that deals with air/heat/plumbing only. The business was sent to my residence, which I rent, to repair my air conditioning unit. A technician, and possible owner, named [redacted] came to service my unit. He decided to test breakers by removing and re plugging them back in without notifying me so that I may unplug appliances and electronics to protect them from damage. As he was unplugging and replugging breakers, sparks flew out of my living room outlets where my cooler unit, television, Xbox, and Nintendo were plugged in. As a result, my cooler unit and xbox no longer work. I pointed this out to [redacted] and his response was "These things happen. You need to take that up with [redacted]." As he is not a licensed electrician, I feel it is his responsibility to replace these items. After voicing my opinion, [redacted] became rude and quickly left. Among those items, many of my outlets are not in working order, and neither are my refridgerator or stove.Desired Settlement: This company should be financially responsible for replacing the items that were damaged from the result of their unlicensed electrical practices.
