Rita's Bakery and Pizza Reviews (2)

Hello, my name is [redacted] and I am the owner and only one responsible for answering any questions about Rita's Restaurant. On the day in Question I was here briefly to see the group come in and long enough to know we had a few other tables here , it was the 1 or 1:30 range, it was a group of...

4 adults and I believe 3 children. When the group came in they were told to seat themselves, we have no hostess here. My daughter [redacted] put two tables together for them. It was not 20 minutes until they received their menus, I know this because we have cameras in the restaurant. The group asked for breakfast menu's and we stop ( as a lot of restaurants do) serving breakfast at 11:00 a.m. They were beyond annoyed and asked if we would make the kids meals first while they decided what they would order. They ordered pizza and that takes 20 minutes. I watched the group receive 3 raspberry tea refills and 2 kids drink refills. When asked how Mr *. liked his food he said fine. He ate all of his steak sandwich. They asked for a box to take the remaining pizza home. If any one of them would have complained about anything I would have made it right, I pride myself on keeping people happy. Not only didn't they complain they left a tip on the table. I have no special powers to know if someone is not happy, they said "NOTHING"Out of nowhere, a facebook complaint appeared, and my other daughter who does not work at the Restaurant seen it, she responded to it (I have copies of it)This facebook stuff got so out of hand, there was even a death threat involved, ridiculous. However, my other daughter is not employed here and only wanted to tell them to let me know about the complaint in person. She is not authorized to handle complaints nor did she present herself in any way shape or form.So it escalated into this , a bogus complaint. All of the allegations I can disprove. The only 3 meat choice rhetoric, untrue, on any given day we have chicken fingers, grilled chicken, fried chicken, pork chops, grilled ham, roast beef dinner, roast beef sandwiches, meat loaf dinners. Meatloaf sandwiches, meatball subs, and steak salads. I can prove this or you can look at Ritasrestaurant.net our menu has been posted for the last year . The web page was created by [redacted] from the [redacted]. As far as the no pasta thing, they came on Spaghetti Saturday. I advertise in the Johnstown Tribune Democrat, my sales rep is [redacted] and she can verify that week we had Spaghetti as an advertised special. As far as that sweet little baby was concerned, we had a complaint from another group of patrons about the mother of this young girl, screaming in her face about touching her ears. Maybe that plays into character a little here too. She suggested my daughter wanted her to put her baby on the floor in the bathroom to change her baby. UNTRUE. I have copies of all the facebook drama and I can provide that if needed. My daughter suggested that she should have taken her daughter to the restroom to change the diaper. Not put the baby on the floor. There is a small table in there, a changing pad would fit nicely on it. According to our tapes, as we reviewed them, there was no way they waited an hour for a soda. I also wanted to state we are a family restaurant and love kids. I never wanted to see a child (like this little girl) changed on the floor in the middle of the dining room of an open restaurant. I am NOT required by law to have a changing table in the restroom. However, if I would have been asked prior to laying this poor little thing down in the middle of the the dining room to change her diaper, I WOULD HAVE GLADLY ALLOWED HER TO CHANGE THE BABY IN MY OFFICE OR MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS!I would never want to see a child changed in the middle of a restaurant for many reasons. One for the safety of the child, next for the privacy of the child and lastly for the respect for the other patrons in the restaurant and the employees in the restaurant.I would like to say once again that NO-ONE from this group had one complaint while they were here and they never talked to myself about any problem they had. It is slanderous and unjust when a small business owner has to be subjected to this type of harassment.

Review: Yesterday my family and I decided to try a new Rita's resteraunt because we heard good things about their food from a friend. When we got their we were told to seat ourselves but there wasn't a big enough table. The waitress came by 5 minutes later to help us pull two tables together. It wasnt busy at all. It took 20 minutes to even get menus an extra 20 minutes for her to come check on what we want to drink. By the time we had our drinks, it has been an hour. Our food was cold and dry. Only thing that was any good is the chicken was too hot to eat. Their available food was pathetic. No breakfast, no pastas, 3 meat choices, and it wasnt tastey at all. We were with our 10 month old daughter, her diaper needed changed and even though Rita's is a family establishment (or so it claims) it had no changing station. It was no higher than 35 degrees outside so I wasnt about to take her outside to change her diaper in our small vehical in the cold. My boyfriend, her father, changed he in the middle of an empty dining room. When the business was confronted with what had gone wrong, we were chastised by the owners daughter for changing our daughters diaper ans she said we should have changed her diaper on the floor of their unclean bathroom.Desired Settlement: I want everyone to know what kind of people eun this dinner, how they feel about the health and welfare of infants and young children, and to start seeing changes in the number of resteraunt's without changing stations in their restroom.
