Review: After using this cleaners regularly for a while (I'd estimate 2 years or more) I brought in a Brooks Brothers dress shirt with the intention of having it dry cleaned. The counter girl instead mistakenly chose to "launder" the shirt, a process I am not intimately familiar with but apparently involved putting it in a machine that ripped the entire shirt to shreds. When this was brought to my knowledge, I was very polite, thinking it was an honest mistake and they would reimburse me for the damage. I left my phone number and waited to be contacted. No phone call ever came. I returned to the store. I was told to wait, the owners were on vacation. I came back. I was told to wait some more. After repeating this process a few times I asked for a number to contact the owners directly but I was told clearks were not allowed to give out such sensitive information and even if they were, the clerks possess no such number. Weeks have passed and not only have I not been reimbursed but the manager (whose schedule is extremely erratic) has taken the position that I am to blame for bringing in such a delicate fabric in the first place. According to her the closest her supervisor is willing to come to resolving this issue is to pay me $40 and give me a certain amount of store credit. I might be willing to accept this deal but for the fact that I am resolved to never use this store's services again due to their gross incompetence and terrible customer service surrounding this incident. I have since replaced the shirt at the cost of $92. If the store would make an honest effort to repay that amount - or provide me with a shirt identical to the one they destroyed - I would consider this matter closed and have no desire to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I bought this shirt for special occasions and due to their actions, I had to drive far from my home to buy a costly replacement. There are two simple ways to resolve this. They can reimburse me for the new shirt I bought to replace the one they destroyed OR they can replace the shirt themselves (either through BrooksBrothers.com or at their last remaining local brick and mortar store in Newport Beach)
